They seemed to have been missing a leader tonight. 20 mins to go and they were attacking like headless chickens

Exactly.
You can’t play the same way in Europe.
Weeg have been getting away with making mistakes in the Pro14 due to the lower overall quality of Pro14 sides.
I get the strategy in the absence of a big physical pack to play with tempo but the skills levels keep letting them down.
Line out was a shambles. Malcolm came on and hardly hit a line out. Mind you think Cotter did a number on us at line out time - he will have insight into how JGray calls it and our preferred use of Wilson.

Don't think Cotter targeted Gray/Wilson specifically. A lot of the balls went to no man and Cummings jumping was contested successfully one or two times.

I didn't see the game but two thoughts based on the highlights.

First Turner should have been red carded. He was the one that pulled down the maul that gray went off for. I really like what he brings around the park but it's starting to look as if there are some temperament issues there.

Second, at the start of the season we thought that this would be a rebuilding year for Glasgow. Then they got the pool of death in Europe (seriously, the last time they got an Italian team Colin Gregor played fly half). They've had a great start to the domestic season despite only playing really well occasionally. Champions cup is beyond where I expected them to be and they're arguably ahead of schedule. So I'd be fairly relaxed about games like this, there looked to still be lots of good stuff in there.

Finally, as a bonus, what a pass from Russell for Turners try. How many players pull those sorts of tricks out these days?

Nice break over the festive season - a period when others can play and potentially get injured prior to the 6N. Maybe he’s not that daft.

Give him a week or two.

On a serious note any Scottish boys chasing the cash overseas should have a look at the case of Richie Vernon. Glasgow & the SRU have looked after him very well indeed.

After he chased the cash elsewhere.

My point is the SRU & the Weeg had no obligation to give him any kind of deal whatsoever.

Vernon playing at for Currie which is interesting.

Hastings also playing for Currie. I would have had him benching ahead of Finn for Weeg. Nothing to gain with Russell's involvement.

Fagerson needs to sort his f*cking temper out or stop wearing a scrum cap. It's some trigger. Touch that scrum cap and he goes absolutely berserk.

Glasgow seem to have given up.

Why don't they kick penalties?

Just watched the last 20 but it does appear that english refs really dont suit Glasgow,

I thought over the two games I saw quite a few tackle area incidents where the montpellier team stuck their hands in well after the ruck had formed and were allowed to do what they want,

Glasgow look very sloppy in bits
