So 36 year old Wiggy/le and 32 year old Cips gain their first caps for 4 years in the crucial qualification game in 2019. Don't make us go mentioning names that make the [Redacted] decision look reasonable.Digby wrote: It makes more sense than Burgess, but that might be about it
Please don't, I really want to not have to acknowledge them again

Ulster signing Donald looks more sensible at this point, so we'd have to not mention a lot of things to hide just how daft Burgess playing for England wasWhich Tyler wrote:Don't make us go mentioning names that make the [Redacted] decision look reasonable.Digby wrote: It makes more sense than Burgess, but that might be about it

They'd only be fly-half injury cover during a game though. Ford's more than capable of going for 80 minutes, so I suspect Eddie would just have him as the only specialist in the XXIII.Which Tyler wrote:Loz might forms match or so, but I don't think he would for a series, whilst I can't see Slade being anything but 3rd choice FH on any given match day.

It's a very precise concern, and one that hasn't previously occurred to me I'd have to grant, perhaps one day I'll have the opportunity to discover the answerp/d wrote:Or opening a Nationwide account based on two vocally challenged girls and keyboard singing about their small small houseDigby wrote:I'd put voting for Trump or Brexit lowerBanquo wrote: that's the lowest of low bars

Re: EPS Watch / Player Form Thread
Squad is announced tomorrow.
Gregor Townsend believes Vellacott will be in it - "Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend believes it is a back-handed compliment to the burgeoning strength of rugby north of the border that England have moved to secure the services of two age-grade Scottish players - Newcastle flanker Gary Graham and the latest acquisition, Gloucester scrum-half Ben Vellacott, whom Townsend says will be named in England’s 2018 Six Nations squad on Thursday.
“It’s the new reality,” said Townsend, as he announced a 40-man squad for Scotland’s championship campaign, one that includes four uncapped players as he looks to deal with a front-row injury crisis. “Ben is someone we have talked to a lot over the last couple of seasons. I almost signed him at Glasgow. He came up for a couple of days but decided to stay at Gloucester. We have been in regular communication with him but it looks likely he will be involved with them (England) in the Six Nations.”

How much interest would he get from France? Especially as they tighten on the non French player laws.
I do wonder if it would pretty much confirm to Robson that he's not getting picked by Eddie though. Vellacott has looked pretty handy, and I can understand Eddie wanting to get him into a training weekend, but to name him in the 6N squad, as his first ever 3rd scrum half pick, would seem to be a big step for Eddie.

Is he even ahead of Heinz for Gloucester?

Re: EPS Watch / Player Form Thread
No. And that's not only because Heinz is captain. I've not seen a huge amount of him recently, but he does remind me of Robson. At the moment he's not got the game control he needs I believe, but that should come with time. Wouldn't start him at Glaws yet, but definitely good for time off the bench.Mikey Brown wrote:Is he even ahead of Heinz for Gloucester?
