Did SHC knock that on and was fly enough to pretend he meant it for the kick?

Nope. Immediate effect and for this season only. LS are playing Bristol tomorrow. Something is not right here - has he been sacked/packed it in already maybe?Edinburgh in Exile wrote:That'll be for next season I would imagine.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:Why is Roddy Grant a water boy for Edinburgh? Great try that came out of nowhere. This is why Edinburgh need to use their backs. Hoyland is a potential Scotland regular. Hasn't be scored a boatload of tries this season despite Edinburgh's .. ahem... "style" of play? Some achievement.

Horseshit pass from SHC in the build up, but aye, the fact that any of our backs have scored this season is a minor miracle. I like Tovey. Is that cat just in on loan?hugh_woatmeigh wrote:Great try that came out of nowhere. This is why Edinburgh need to use their backs. Hoyland is a potential Scotland regular. The binding to the back of mauls... Is that even looked at anymore? Did I miss a law change on what a bind is, can you now truck up just holding on, Instead of the old full arm?

Du Prez took out the incoming rucker in that last penas for Embra. Got away with that.

Can't believe they're still in the hunt for the BP.
I'm not sure if it's the match or the chlorine from the pool that's make my eyes bleed.

Re: Solly's Soul Destroyers
I lost the ability to understand what a legal bind on the mail was a couple of years back. It's as if after that year when they allowed collapsing the maul, which effectively ended anyone using the maul, all the refs forgot what a maul was.
Good score from Edinburgh now. Zebre have ran out of steam, but what's with SHC these days? He seems to have added an unwelcome double movement into some of his passing.

Hoyland made every correct decision there. Well played that man.

I was about to say, we've really got to get better depth in the front row. We can't keep flogging the regulars like this, but every time we change it we go in reverse.OptimisticJock wrote:Have zebre still got a property at lock and won that scrum now andress is on?

Ha. Bonus... Jesus.
Is don't think Zebra really deserved to be grannied there. Then again, we were fairly Tom tit, and we got the bonus.

Re: Solly's Soul Destroyers
Why are Zebre so bad? If you look at their team it's full of players that have international experience and have shown that they can play. They are considerably less than the sum if their parts.
That was really painful to watch. Tovey was pretty ordinary and is still the best 10 we've had this season. I think that Bradbury looks like a player, with all the fuss about Ritchie he's flown under the radar a bit.
There was a bit about ten minutes into the second half when we kicked to an attacking line out and young Jamie Ritchie in the commentary said something like, 'hopefully we can score from this maul'. To be fair we he knew it was coming, we knew it was coming and unfortunately so did the Italians but I thought it summed up quite nicely why we're not a good team but rather a difficult niggly one.

EIGHTY TWO minutes.
Wandering Jock takes less time to score.

Re: Solly's Soul Destroyers
How on earth did that happen... Congrats to Edinburgh anyway. I skipped the last 25 mins so sounds like I missed a lot. Would it be fair to say the last 3 scores were individual efforts/off the back of a rolling maul? Story of the season...
Hoyland needs to be on the plan to Japan. Starting ideally. We desperately need options at wing and he looks like he has what it takes to step up. I think that's 8 tries for him this season. Considering the type of rugby Edinburgh play that is a phenomenal effort - imagine what he can do with the Glasgow boys for Scotland.

whoa, whoa. lets not be that harsh! in scoring terms I'd be playing for zebre. any way I'm off skiing today! hopefully my svelte lines down the slopes will work their charm. hahaOptimisticJock wrote:82 minutes.Edinburgh in Exile wrote:Ha. Bonus... Jesus.

Apparently we don't numbers or direct links to posts on this forum but I posted similar on the top of page 11. Look at the Jaguares and Sunwolves in the Super rugby tournaments. Still a long way off the level of the top teams but you can see the potential there. The sunwolves have played some gorgeous rugby just like the Japanese teams. The potential for further development is there.switchskier wrote:Why are Zebre so bad? So why isn't this exposure working for the Italians?
Both of the teams are shite and just offer the other teams an easy shot at a try BP to boost their European rugby/playoff chances.
Who got MoM btw?
