Re: Trump
There's little chance of the senate voting to impeach tiny hands, but I do think it will get to the upper house.
I think it's more likely he'll be forced to resign if the allegations are proved. At least that way, the GOP can try to claim some moral high ground and there's a better chance of them keeping hold of the presidency.

He'll only go if forced to. And I agree, the senate won't do it.WaspInWales wrote:There's little chance of the senate voting to impeach tiny hands, but I do think it will get to the upper house.

So I think he won't go, no matter the evidence.

If he sees election defeat looming, falling on his sword might seem a better option. Then he can always claim that he won twice, but was cheated out of it by the deep state leftist Antifa socialist alien invasion Mexicans. In his mind he'd be the hard done-by winner.

What proof do you see as being suitable to force him to resign? He's already admitted to (hell, bragged about) the major parts happening - the fact that he asked Ukraine to investigate one of his presidential rivals is commonly accepted fact and still his party are rallying around him, without even a hint that a single representative might vote against him.WaspInWales wrote:There's little chance of the senate voting to impeach tiny hands, but I do think it will get to the upper house.

The GOP have no interest in the moral high ground and I don't think it'd improve their chances of keeping the presidency - that's 2015 logic there. If they were to turn on Trump, they'd get no benefit as they've supported him this far, and they'd earn the enmity of the Trump stans who will always perform incredible feats of cognitive dissonance to make it that their hero is in the right. They're Trump's party now and the only way to stop that is for the vast majority of American voters to turn against him, which I don't see happening, no matter what he does

Re: Trump
There may be quite a quantity of documented inappropriate narrative had between Trumpy and other heads of state. He is as thick as pig shit, so there has likely been an ongoing internal tug of war between seasoned officials that have a reading and comprehension age >12 and all Trumpy's incompetent sycophants. They keep sensitive shit as far as possible from his gaze and he tries to build independent dialogue with nice people like the Saudis. Foreign governments must have so much gold on the inner workings of American government through this idiot. What an utter donkey. This is how he has been operating all his life?

Id be amazed if he did resign. He will attempt to brazen through it as he normally does.Puja wrote:What proof do you see as being suitable to force him to resign? Perhaps a delegation of senior republicans might have a quiet word and if he refuses then the senate hearing might not go his way after all. But I think it unlikely that he will leave office early.

Re: Trump
He certainly won't want to resign, but he does have a habit of just walking away from things when they get too tough and as much as he craves the constant attention, allegations treason and high crimes will bring a lot of scrutiny. Could the treasury be forced to disclose his tax returns and banks be forced to release account details? He has tried his hardest to keep those kinda details from being released to the public. There may well be business dealings there that even his ardent supporters will begin to question just how patriotic and god fearing he is.Sandydragon wrote:Id be amazed if he did resign. The GOP may well be rallying around him now, but again, he is likely to start losing support if things are proved and more is uncovered.
I still can't see a Republican controlled senate voting to impeach him, but perhaps some friendly advice from GOP leaders could encourage him on his way as it has potential to cause some serious damage.

It's the fact that he's not actually worth anywhere near as much as he makes out. His debt levels are allegedly insane, and his portfolio loses money.
His entire business is built on image. If the image is shattered...

Speaking of Trump's image:
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/worl ... 44921.html
The article says it's over a year old, so it's possible I'm the last person to hear about Donald Tump shoving his face into Rudy-Giuliani-in-drag's breasts, but in case anyone else had also missed it, I thought I'd share my share of what-the-fuck for the evening.
