First of all, Rupar is a never Trumper. His clips take the comments out of contest.

You must watch the entire 3 hours and a half (average duration) of the rally to understand correctly.

Hey, I am joking: don’t do it. Seriously, don’t, I don’t want you on my conscience.

Selective hearing works like this.

Do I like what I hear?
Yes : yeah, I agree with this man! He is great!
No: yeah, he is trolling the liberals! They will go crazy! He is great!

I recognise her from the TV, maybe he was hold he needed to impress that ultra booming, all consuming type

Ha. That’s one of the other baffling parts. Trolling now just seems to be about behaving in a very strange way and then celebrating when your opponents are confused by it. I’m not sure what the end goal is.

If that’s what is happening here it is a very odd approach.

What the blazes is Lev Parnas doing, and why? And does this mean there needs to be another Special Prosecutor? On the face of it supposing the evidence released in the last day or so isn't utter hogwash I don't see how they fail to appoint a Special Prosecutor, Barr can't investigate himself and would at minimum be a witness, and whether tracking the movements of an ambassador, or noting the surprise Nunes took part into a hearing about himself does warrant a follow up.

Trump assembling a defence team with a definite rapey old man feel to it. Its history playing out but it looks like shitty reality TV.

So it's a no to hearing new evidence, and if the rules are what I heard Mitch doesn't even intend to write into the Senate record all the evidence Congress had. If so Mitch could scan the House records for the words no collusion and no quid pro quo and only enter them as evidence.

Justice is never blinder than a GOP trial

"Get her out tomorrow. I don't care. Get her out tomorrow. Take her out. Okay? Do it."

I thought for a moment when I saw the quote this was going to be about assassinating Hillary Clinton. Not quite as exciting as that, but oh well.

They've got him occupied rarking up gun nuts and anti-abortion zealots while the teevee lawyers get angry at conspiracy. Probably a sound strategy, if not a little irresponsible given the history of armed anti-government whackos in USandA. It is depressing how easily these fanatics are swayed by an obviously cynical performance by an extremely bad actor.

This country is a wee bit broken....

Looks an entirely partisan set of proceedings. Shameful, almost amusing were it not so shaming.

Pretty fucking flaccid fare from Team Rapey. I'm half expecting them to bring in Prince Andrew as a character witness.

Some leading Republicans are apparently thinking that calling witnesses might be a good idea given recent revelations. Perhaps some disquiet that it can't be seen as being too much of a foregone conclusion.

More biased social-media drivel for you all, because I know how much you love me spamming the thread with it.

I don't know how to avoid it posting the original video too. I'm only interested in the second one because I've given up on caring about anything of real importance. Schadenfreude is the only worthwhile currency these days.

Yeah, Mikey, we like videos, we don’t like to read. That is for the elites.

I read somewhere that the fat man tweeted 130 times in a single day recently. That's a lot of whiny little bitch to be putting out there.

Just a fucking charade. From start to the expected finish.

I mean, what is the point of even calling it a trial?

Don't forget Medicaid. That's bad too. The safety net for the masses is being slowly eroded for the benefit of the wealthy. Orange spunk trumpet doesn't even know how this is happening. He just plays golf.

I don't think it's been a total waste of time. Some politicians have stood up and said such behaviour is acceptable or reprehensible, some have said it's poor but doesn't warrant removal and some have dissembled (interestingly Trump's legal team have covered all those bases). It's all useful information and will inform both the Presidential race and the races in the houses of Congress

Unless the democrats can make a huge deal about the swamp like tendencies of the republicans in the election then I don’t think it will make much practical difference. Trump is still a cnut. Everyone knows that.

If he is demonstrably as a corrupt as other politicians then he may lose some support. But I think it will depend more on who the democrats select. At the moment it’s an old bloke who may have shady dealings and another old bloke who is the American version of Corbyn.
