If Warren has been ridiculed and lost hasn't Bernie also lost? What's the standard for standing up to Trump beyond just that some people like Bernie?paddy no 11 wrote:Fair point - Warren has already been ridiculed by him and lost

Warren was caught out on the Cherokee thing etc everytime he mentions pocahontas she is being shown up
You may be partially right that I just want Bernie to win but I think there's something to it too

If you think she was caught out rather than had just been noting her story as she knew it are you perhaps going with the Trump spin? And too who gives a shit about it anyway?paddy no 11 wrote:Warren was caught out on the Cherokee thing etc everytime he mentions pocahontas she is being shown up

Her record on banking, on education and so on seems more relevant, though it's 2020 and perhaps I need to give up that last sliver of hope

Or she was spot on and it's Bernie who has shown a lack of character. Lord knows who're we're supposed to judge it given the classic of a she said/he said situation. If they're simply not supposed to make attacks on other Democrats then fine but everyone has piled into Bloomberg at that last debate started by one B. Sanders

She needs to make an impact and you don’t do that by being shy. I don’t blame her for giving it one last roll of the dice.paddy no 11 wrote:Her recent attack on Bernie was poor form and again shows a lack of character/judgementDigby wrote:If you think she was caught out rather than had just been noting her story as she knew it are you perhaps going with the Trump spin? She moves one way she's accused that she'll be bullied, she takes a more strident tone and is accused of poor judgement.Sandydragon wrote:She needs to make an impact and you don’t do that by being shy. Stock market first - public health second folks. Coronavirus is being used to by the deep state to discredit King Donnel's tremendous powerful economy. It is not true.....nothing to see....the virus is not here...it has been engineered by socialists...

Before, the Medal of Freedom recipient stated that the coronavirus is just the common cold and all the panic was artificially created by Trumps enemies.
You can consider good old Rush as the unofficial spokesperson of the president of the USA when listening.
Then wash your ears.
Twice.

What a thundercunt. This from a guy who dismissed the cancer risks of smoking and now has lung cancer.
Good fucking riddance.

The stock market has never had less to do with the economy, well it might have done, but not often. Also the economy has any number of structural problems that Trump doesn't understand, doesn't care about, or is too incompetent to addressmorepork wrote:Stock market first - public health second folks. Re: Trump
Public health 101 from King Donnell:
"There’s a chance that it could get worse,” Trump said. “There’s a chance that it could get fairly, substantially worse. But I don’t think it’s inevitable ... there’s a chance that it won’t spread."
“We’ll essentially have a flu shot for this in a fairly quick manner,”
Everybody got that? For a real belt-and-braces approach to the chance of it getting fairly, substantially worse, the King has put Mike Pence in charge of preparedness. This is the same piece of human furniture that tried paying away an HIV epidemic in Indiana before evetually being compelled to admit that a clean needle exchange program was the only thing standing between achieving HIV rates of infection that would be the envy of sub-Saharan Africa.
Donnell reassures the public re: Pence:
"Everybody who knows anything about health care, they look at Indiana," he said. "They’ve established a great health care (in Indiana) … a lot of other states have looked to. They wanted to change their health care systems."

Panic over, Mike Pence is in charge of the US response to Coronavirus and. Although I don't know how much we can mock, here our cabinet continues to refuse to talk to the BBC, exactly what you'd want at the onset of a possible pandemic. But to stick with the US Trump has outsourced responsibility, despite having previously resolved the problem, and health officials have their task, which is to ensure nobody blames Trump for anything.
It's not yet confirmed if Pence will deny treatment to drugs users and gays

That maybe true but they have spoken to the media and informed the public about what is going on, how the NHS is doing/will do, what the public should do etc.Digby wrote:Panic over, Mike Pence is in charge of the US response to Coronavirus and. The bit about talking to the BBC may be true but they have spoken to the media & told the public what is going on, what to do etc.

Mike Pence is gagging the CDC and vetting all information provided to the public. He doesn't need science as he has the Lord's Force pulsing through his purple headed love warrior.
He is also likely vetting the Trumpet in case he, you know, says something stupid out loud.
