It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Two favourite bits about that try:

1 - seeing minozzi with no idea what's going on because he's stood behind Cummings
2 - Barnes describing it as trundling over the line

Wayne Barnes commentary is probably better than Stuart Barnes.

Was that a high tackle on Darcy Graham there? Before Johnny Gray stood in touch.

Graham and Thompson did well there. As well because everything leading up to it was rubbish.

Varney coming on. Hope we haven't picked up the edinburgh habits of not guarding the fringes

He's made his mind up before seeing it and is looking for a reason not to. Wrong call

If there's no reason to change his mind then it must be the wrong call? Surely if there's no reason to change his mind it must have been the right call?

It was right on the margins. I thought before he'd judged it correctly and so I saw that it had crossed the plane. He thought it hadn't, hence the referral, therefore he saw that it hadnt. So close that confirmation bias comes in

I am not a fan of us turning down guaranteed 3 pointers in games as close as this. We'll see if it works out...

George Turner's dynamism all the difference there. Great try. When one player starts bringing pace onto the ball others tend to follow suit to keep up.

Yes, good stuff. Was about to blast Hogg for turning down the kick but they made it work. Great stuff.

Thought that was the wrong call but they made it work. Fresh legs from Turner making a difference.

Is there a reason Barclay persistently refuses to pronounce Fagerson’s name correctly? He even played with him! Does he just not care?

Only four points ahead. Why not take 3 and gauruntee not losing the game?
