Le Roux is in a rich vein of form, but I don’t particularly rate Willemse. Centres, Vincent and Fickou may surprise you. I think we’ll but it won’t be a massacre !paddy no 11 wrote:We have a better 2nd row and level in the centres after that its a massacre

The difference in how the two teams use the ball to create space is stark.
Death to default kicking strategies!

France are about 3mm away from taking Ireland to the cleaners here. Need to get some more points on the boardtigran wrote:Half time

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Scored a beautiful try just as I wrote that

I was meaning the french try just before the Irish one, I think my feed is a few minutes behind. The Irish have been lucky but sometimes that’s what you need to get a bit of steam upmorepork wrote:Donny osmond wrote:Scored a beautiful try just as I wrote that

France clearly the better team but Ireland are just good enough to keep a hold of their coat tails... this has gone from a shit game to at least being intriguing

Perhaps a bit tighter than it really needed to be but job done. France looking very very good right now, and can’t help but feel there’s still more to come.tigran wrote:Well that was tough

Close and, for me as a Scottish fan, probably v frustrating. We have a good defence and creativity, but so do you guys and I think your forwards will have the edge over ours and probs give Dupont a decent platform to show his skills. It could be close but I expect you to have too much for us.tigran wrote:How do you see France Scotland ?Donny osmond wrote:Perhaps a bit tighter than it really needed to be but job done. Re: XV against Ireland
There certainly is! There are two weeks to prepare for the Scottish game and there’s work to do, the line out wobbled a bit and Shaun Edwards will want to tighten the defence, although it wasn’t bad today. The tight forwards failed to dominate today and must be improved before the 28th.Donny osmond wrote:Perhaps a bit tighter than it really needed to be but job done. Re: RE: Re: XV against Ireland
I'd tend to agree. I think that the French front five beat us up in a tight game and the backrow will eat us alive if it's too loose and fast. The only way I can see is winning is if we can really disrupt the lineout and get enough cheap possession for the halfbacks to keep the French moving around the field and reacting to us rather than the other way around.Donny osmond wrote:Close and, for me as a Scottish fan, probably v frustrating. Why surprise? I know what they are capable of. Think I was about right centres were even and Ireland won lineout comfortablyfrancoisfou wrote:Le Roux is in a rich vein of form, but I don’t particularly rate Willemse. Half backs and ability to use the ball in general was the difference

Yes, the French lineout was poor. All in all, a good contest, but we sorely missed the spectators, and maybe the result would’ve been different with a full Landsdown Rd?paddy no 11 wrote:Why surprise? I know what they are capable of.
