Smith again very good, but that has now become a given.
Will Evans wont be in Jones mind but he is one helluva player. Quins definitely the poorer once he came off.
Agree. Have not been a big fan of Dombrand but he is looking leaner, faster, fitter and more involved, with great game reading and good hands. Many players get saddled with a poor rep at the start of their career and it often takes time to wear off. A spell in the England training camp would speed his progress even more.

He was in all the England camps throughout the Autumn. Think he’d be in this one too, but Eddie is limited to a squad of just 28. I do reckon he’s a player Eddie might go for if he can keep his current work rate up, whereas I think he’s fully moved on from Sam Simmonds for whatever reason.

Good player, good enough for a few caps, but not going to get close for England with our strength in depth.

Leaves Bath up the Khyber though - we'd already run out of locks and now we've run out of backrows
Granny from Aberdeen apparently ...

Drastic improvement from him in the past 4 games. And it's not just him, it's several others stepping up considerably. I wonder what changed? Whatever it is, it's had a huge impact...

Maybe Quins should have made that change earlier, whatever it was, as we're looking Mustard now ;)

The next England video is on Youtube, more and more there's clips of Curry helping players out, explaining things etc. Wonder if he's in captain consideration. Leads from the front, extremely good player, always in the thick of it and able to be in the ref's ear.

Guaranteed starter when fit
I'd support the call.

Guaranteed starter is the right start point, and he seems made of the right stuff; not a noticeable penalty magnet and certainly not petulant.

The other benefit would be jngf blowing a gasket

I'd support it just for that!

Hadn't really considered a Curry captaincy before, but it does make a striking amount of sense. Obviously we know very little about his leadership qualities, but it's something I wouldn't be against. Has he ever done it for Sale? Who is their regular captain?

Ben isn't far down the list behind Jono Ross is he? Not ever noticed Tom as captain though.

Jono Ross. So let's hope Curry hasn't taken too much inspiration from there

I mean I'll eat a captain curry, but for all it's got some souring from the tamarind it's a bit icky with all that sugar and coconut. There are better curries whilst that one is for the sort of person who likes the peshwari naan

For all the rumours that Louis Lynagh is declaring for Australia, he has just signed a "long term" contract extension with Quins, ruling him out of Australian and into English contention for the foreseeable. He's a very promising young player, so I wouldn't be surprised if we made a few phone calls.

Indeed he was, although you'd think he probably has higher ambitions.

On the Quins news, Kenningham and Anyawu have both signed new deals, as have the 3 young hookers. Talk Baldwin could be off, and with Elia's non-improvement, they could be fighting it out for a starting spot in the not too distant.
