Fair play to YJB, extraordinary batting.

Bumrah having a stunning match- great catch to get rid of Stokes. Stokes getting some flak, but its the way Pant played....

weather hasn't helped us much this match.

India nudging towards an unloseable total.Good test for the rejuvenated Eng. team to stick it out; Stokes's view on leading from the front batting wise, is not risk averse so looks a bit Marmite atm.

Thought Stokes played in an utterly brainless manner. By all means be positive and pro active but temper it with some discretion. Nothing wrong with rotating the strike and running hard ones and twos.
Bairstow got the balance right.

Some redemption for yer man with ball, but still a huge ask batting last.5 sessions though, at least it gets half an eyebrow raised after the year so far rather than the customary write-off. :|

That run out was schoolboy cricket. Totally unnecessary and unforgiveable.

I've now gone from finding Pieterson a bit irritating in the comm box to finding him utterly unbearable. I simply cannot listen to him.

totally- KP is just a complete ar5se. Me me me, gibberish, soundbite, me....its like the parody twitter feed that used to exist. No wonder he was unpopular in the dressing room. Compare to Sangakkarra who is soo classy.

Thrilling win. Didnt fancy us at 109-3 but Root and Bairstow were just superb. They made a very demanding task look pretty straightforward.

Biggest run-chase success ever for Eng ?and pretty easy too in the end.
Astonishing turn-round by Eng. team...and secure a drawn series v Ind. :)

not sure why Jadeja didn't bowl earlier. The best bit is Kohli's face at all times today, after being such an enormous knob yesterday. He's become like one of those footie midfielders passed their sell by date, all they can do is run around committing fouls, looking cross and abusing people....see Roy Keane and Graeme Souness.

Ouch. Very poor start for Buttler. But then Root, Bairstow and Stokes hardly helped much today. Our one day bowling looks very poor without Archer, Wood, Rashid or Woakes tbh. Which suppose is fair enough.

Bit of a surprise, but maybe not.
Eng will struggle even more to match past glory without him.
Excessive demands on players in many sports now will surely lead to more stepping off/on the bus.

He’s also not playing The Hundred this year which, given I have season tickets, is a bit of a bummer.

I reckon we will be ok without him, wonder if he'll IPL it though. We need to get our one day bowlers back, the batting is having an odd blip against a very good Indian OD attack.

He better not IPL it. He’s just pulled out of The Hundred and my season tickets have a lost a little of their lustre.
