A sane system would include carbon costs of transport in the pricing of goods, but that's hardly likely from a government that's put up trade barriers with all our nearest neighbours.

Yep. Ideally, I think the cost of carbon emissions should be part of the transport costs so they wouldn't need to be explicitly added to the price of goods, but that would need a global system.

So the latest IPCC report is a pretty blunt assessment of where we are at: reduce emissions by 2025 or else. However, there is no direct criticism of the fossil fuel industry that has aggressively discredited the science behind this manifest situation predicted by models generated by their own scientists over 30 years ago. They knew this was coming and could have prevented it. What complete and utter cunts.
