Interesting to see Makepeace-Cubitt make it. Thought he looked handy at U18s, but then didn't make the cut to pick up a senior academy contract at LI. They brought him in later that summer and he's clearly made some progress to get himself noticed, given he didn't play any age grade that I'm aware of for England.

Nice to see a fair few players with U20s experience in the pack especially. Should hopefully provide a decent platform.

Caleb Ashworth (prop)
HEIGHT/WEIGHT
1.96m / 132kg
!!!!!!!!!!

He's bigger than that flyweight Fasogbon.

Thought Kerr looked very good for the U18's in a game earlier this season.

Michelow made a handy run on the weekend too (as well as knocking on, but we'll ignore that)

I hope he wasn't picked because he's huge... At the Eng V France u20 every England player looked bigger than the oppo. They also then looked like they had half the skills (esp in scrums).

Manz and Carnduff are both highly rated at Tigers and both played in the A team friendly with Saints on Monday. They should hopefully give the team some physicality and an extra lineout jumper (or two) in the backrow.

Me neither. Found it in a Harlequins insta post celebrating having 11 players involved in the game for both sides.

These boys don’t know how lucky they are. Albeit the probability that your peaking at u19 level must be a bit disappointing.

7 - 7 at HT with England making pretty hard work of it. One nice try finished by Allan, but other than that, lots not going right with ball in hand.

Amusing moment at the end of the half with much confusion when the ref blew on 35 minutes. Plenty of the players seemed to think it should be the full 40, rather than the 35 they play at U18s.

We nicked it 28-26, scoring a last minute try and conversion.

Barely deserved really. We were incredibly disjointed and made innumerable errors.

England playing up hill in the second half I think

England snatch a win at the death with a try 28 - 26. Italy were down to 14 men after a harsh sending off for most of the second half. Pretty disjointed performance with Italy on top up front.

Got the job done though and some nice bottle shown by Harris with a touchline conversion at the death.
