Not sure where to put this, so I'm putting it here for the time being, as it involves Russian (diplomatic) aggression.

The Moscow Times: Russia unilaterally decides to redraw maritime borders with Lithuania and Finland in the Baltic Sea
Russian authorities have decided unilaterally to change the country’s maritime borders with Lithuania and Finland in the Baltic Sea, declaring new internal waters and adjusting geographical coordinates, according to a draft government decree published on the legal acts portal.

Putin is at least consistent. Hes been doing this for well over a decade. I would like ot hope that most people have seen through his nonsense by now, but Im sure theres plenty who still think he is the good guy against the evil west.

Time for NATO countries to sail some warships over Putin's new borders.

Agreed. If left unchallenged, it will only promote more bad behaviour.

And Russia has done nothing. We need to realise that they're the barking dog.
agreed. Allowing Putin to win under the threat of nuclear annihilation makes it very hard to stand up to him in the future. Russia started this fight, I have no issue with allowing Ukraine to win without undue constraints being placed on how weapons are used (noting the need for keeping to international law).
I think Macron has figured this out too. Took some time, but he seems to be getting there.
It looks like Ukraine hasn't been given complete freedom to use UK arms on Russia:

I'm trying to make sense of that whole sentence:
But it is not, if you notice, I was the one when—and you guys did report it at TIME—the one that I was saying that I am not prepared to support the NATOization of Ukraine.
But if that's what he's saying, it's not a good thing. He should appear open to idea, even if it's not possible now.

He is often rather incoherent. Neither candidate has the mental faculties to be a capable president.

You'd think Europe would have been well immunised from fascism by the events if the 20th century. I guess no one ever thinks that their fascists are fascists . . . until it's too late.

And now the UK's own fascist has returned, his path cleared, his policies normalized by mainstream parties. The Tories have done most of the damage (which they are about to reap) but Starmer is joining in.

I was reading about this yesterday. I love the way Russia gets so offended when Ukraine dares to invade Russian territory.

It was the fact that the Russian spokesman described it as a "provocation" that got me. Oh yeah, Ukraine had better look out with those provocations; Russia might invade them or bomb their cities!

I get that people are worried about rattling the bear's cage but if the bear's already eating you different rules apply.

Russia's already doing its worst. It's not going to use nukes coz it doesn't want to rattle the bigger bear's cage. It's already tried and failed to take the whole country. Sure, it makes a show of lashing out sometimes (like firing a flurry of missiles) but those are just things it was going to do anyway - they shouldn't make the Ukrainians or us falter.

Agreed. Anything up to the actual involvement of nato troops in the fighting is fair game.

Yes, the logic/message should be USA stay out of it as long as no nukes are used.
