29-19 to the Weegies who were imperious for the first 50 minutes or so then it all got a bit scrappy. Tuipolotu was a deserved POTM. Currently crossing fingers and any other available digits that he doesn’t get injured before the 6N. Same for Jones.

Even if only for that reason, I do wish Franco would put another back on the bench. Would be a shame to see one of the centres struggle on with a niggle due to a lack of options only to injure themselves.

Appreciate McDowall is out (and Jordan is needed at 10) which reduces the options, but still. It's not like we seem to use the sixth forward that much.

yeah, probably getting ahead of myself. But Toulon not out of sight even if favourite to top group. One point ahead, Glasgow better PD. Toulon go to Sale next, Glasgow to Harlequins. We win they lose or draw all is well with the world

It seems like Glasgow got most of their decisions wrong tonight, maybe that happens when a lynch pin like tui is taken out

Mcdowell played well but need to offload on earlier and more often

As they said in commentary it felt forced and nothing clicked

The penalty for the scuffle was ridiculous should have been a pen for lifting the legs

Yet your comment about defence is the key one for me. Against Sale, Edinburgh then Racing Glasgow killed the game then defended more passively and allowed the opposition easy yards and to build momentum. Same thing in this game, but from earlier and no huge lead this time. This won't do

Sensible to postpone given risk to fans etc and likely travel disruption for fans and Connacht, but sunday means Glasgow will probably get fewer players back from Scotland prior to opening 6N game. Season has taken a really difficult turn

I'm quite excited by that team actually. Will be a struggle, but it's a better looking team that I thought they would be able to put out. I imagine Connacht won't be too badly disrupted so it'll be a struggle, but there are some names there that have been itching for a chance for a while.

Same here. None of the first 15 would look out of place in a string Glasgow squad, maybe with the exception of the unproven Munn. It's the cumulative effect rather than the individuals.

Mind you Schinkerling at loosehead is an odd one. Don't think I've ever seen him play there. Is Bhatti injured as he's not in the Scotland squad now?

Will be interested to see Smith back and at 13 and Ferrie at 4. Roberts, Duncan and Johnston are new ones for me.

Schickerling played Loose head v Scarlets earlier this season, went ok Ferrie started last match (v Harlequins) at 4
Bhatti is either rested or (and I think this is the case) is with the Scotland squad but not officially held back, but he is Same for Rae at edinburgh)
Munn (12) made his debut in S6 as a 17 year old schoolboy in a very late call up Been in the academy ever since, will be 22 this year had a couple of 5mins off bench but TBH despite the high hopes I've seen nothing to say he will make the grade.
Roberts I covered earlier He will be good be a debut if he gets on Just 18 yo
No 19 - Duncan joined the academy this year Been in a few match day squads due to the injury list but not called upon A back row, not the biggest Came via the Bristol academy and Hartbury. IIRC played some S6 for Stirling Must have Scottish heritage This would be a debut if he gets on Age 20
no 21 - Angus Fraser Was in the academy for ages then signed full contract last season IIRC Has started games including Heineikin Cup away to Bayonne. OK nothing spectacular
no23 - Kerr Johnson Was decent at U20 Scotland Played S6 for 'Muir Another 20yo who would debut

22 players missing ,blowing a hoolie, freezing cold and chucking it down. I'd say we are all very happy tonight

Bit error prone at times, Weir just cannot play the Glasgow way and we got opened up a bit too easily sometimes. BUt stuck at it, huge games from Mann, Venter, Samuel and MoM Afshar. And something to make you smile - 2nd start for Fin Richardson at tight head. And 2nd time he has looked ok - maybe better than that. Connacht not the best pack in the scrum but he was very solid and eon a pen, but also made a great break, a great jackal turnover and a few really good tackles many THs would not make
