The emerging details make it all so much more tragic. A demented man living alone in his house for a week while his wife lies dead, very possibly re-realising she is dead over and over again but being unable to do anything about it. Just heartbreaking.

Fucking hell. I hadn’t caught up on that. So incredibly tragic. That was really hard to read.

I had assumed it was something innocuous that meant they both at least just went in their sleep.

It doesn’t really need saying but as an actor he was clearly one of the best to do it.
