Cardiff second string

Post by UKHamlet »

Cardiff's second string were predictably blown away in the second half by a strong Stade Francais. But there were a few cameos that encouraged me.

I was particularly impressed by Matty Young, who had an excellent game and showed he's one for the future. Evan Lloyd was pretty steady, too.

Grady looked a bit off the pace, but didn't get much ball to use. I suspect he'll be firing on all six before the Six Nations. I can't see any reason why he shouldn't be included as a bench option covering FB, wing, and centre. Possibly a Backrow too if needs must.

I’d be surprised if Grady isn’t in the mix come the six nations. I wouldn’t play him centre but as a winger or impact player I think he could be good for us.

Yeah, real game of two halves. Did not expect a collapse like that. Good to see Grady back. If he gets back to form he should be in the Wales team, probably the wing.
