Not having no Goode in the 45 or Clifford in the 33, seem odd calls to me

Agree. Lack of passing game might be an issue but, to be fair, it hasn't halted your career

Nathan Catt is 28. Young he isn't.

I appreciate that's a fairly pedantic amendment that's not central to your point, but I felt it deserved making.

Fair, but 28 is still relatively young for a prop. There's a good 5 years left in him and in terms of preparing for RWC 2019, there's as good a chance that Catt will blossom as there is of Genge.

Depends what you mean by blossom.

If you mean become a fair to good international prop, then maybe. They've both got the potential at least. Although surely if they've got equal chances, you give the chance to the younger guy anyway.

If you mean become a World Class player, then nope. Maybe I'm being unfair to Catt, of whom I see relatively little, but I can't say I've seen those raw ingredients there. Genge mightn't get there in the next couple of years (or ever), but he does at least have the chance.

We already have three fair to good international looseheads. Another one means relatively little. We don't have a World Class loosehead and only one of the three looks like he might become one.

One international window means relatively little tbh, and given Jones' policy of making youngsters work this could be the best thing from that perspective, and there's always the possibility Vunipola doesn't make it and someone else gets injured and we're suddenly grateful that we've got another ready-made guy there. So I don't want to be too angry about this.

But I'm not particularly sold on trialling out older guys who are unlikely to be stand-out internationals in positions where we're already set. Its not ideal. The search for world class players should be more important.

Manu just went off in the tigers vs sarries game. Looked bad (knee).

FFS. Great run from Manu followed by an injury that probably takes him out of the England picture yet again.

Tigers have just paid the price for a bit of peak Ben Youngs.

That was a complete dog of a "pass". From a halfback. Can he not run and pass at the same time?

He struggles to pass at any time.

He is actually snuffing out the attack. The opposition can just see what is coming from him and shut it down. Serial hospital passes.

Is it illegal for commentators to criticise Saracens players?

Maybe Jones should get Youngs to throw bags of sweets at him rather than him throw them at Youngs. He needs all the practice he can get. What a litany of shite.

Unbelievable decision to give Farrell MOTM given he's sprayed his kicking all over the place. Spencer would have been the better choice.

I cannot believe how much the commentators are spunking over Farrell. Saracens won because Ben Youngs was playing for Leister.

The motm decision was a farce. As is Ben Youngs.

Thought Farrel was poor to be honest. Took his try well, but I'd expect most fly halves to get that.

Spencer looked good and thought Genge looked class. Hope Manu is back soon.

Brn youngs was just so poor.

I used to think that but I've recently had to accept that he is just "keeping the defence honest" and his one fantastic break every 8 games justifies his repeated MOTM awards (has anybody ever won more MOTMs for England?), total inability to pass (even to the same lofty standards as Danny Care) and continual wasting of possession / the 6 guys outside of him.

I just pray one day he gets lucky enough to bang some broad in a toilet.

Then gets caught.

I imagine he'd get caught before he made it to the toilet. Or fumbled the door handle

He'd probably spend 80 mins poking his penis into her ankle or forehead.
