Re: 6 Nations
Italy show potential in a game or two every year but around the 50-60 min mark they just disintegrate. They haven't got the skills to pull something out the hat to win it and there's only 2 points in it and 25 mins left to play...

Re: 6 Nations
Wales at home was probably their best chance of a scalp.. Looks like they may not even take a LBP at this rate.

That was an excellent bit of attacking by Wales. I thought that was a try in fairness.

We should be looking to put 4 scores on this shambles when they rock up to MF.

Hope that both of these teams kick this much ball to us.

Are you watching them? They'll be blown away if we bring our first half game to them. All they do is kick it down the Welsh throats - Hogg, Seymour & Jones will carve them up.Edinburgh in Exile wrote:You been taking tips from Ronan O'Gara?hugh_woatmeigh wrote:We should be looking to put 4 scores on this shambles when they rock up to MF.

I am, but I fail to see the risk vs reward in sweeping predictions like that. Each to their own though cat man.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:Are you watching them? What a shambles all round that was at the end. Why do Italy always run out of steam? You'd think they'd have worked on it by now.

Re: 6 Nations
Flattering score for wales( not a bonus try performance) Neither teams should threaten Scotland if they continue to perform like this and if Scotland continues to play as it does. Both big "Ifs".

They don't have the players whichever way you break it down. It's just Treviso and Zebre at the end of the day.switchskier wrote:What a shambles all round that was at the end. Why do Italy always run out of steam? You'd think they'd have worked on it by now.

Not to continually disagree with you today, but to be fair to him he did extremely well to win that ball in the fist place, and it was a very difficult finish.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:Williams what an utter mong.

Re: 6 Nations
Sure, I don't expect them to win but I don't understand why their conditioning perpetually seems off. They'd benefit a lot from perhaps losing a bit of forward power and being able to run for 80 minutes.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:They don't have the players whichever way you break it down. Awj perpetually talked up again but only half of Gray's tackles. It's going to be rubbish if he is lions captain.

Did you manage to avoid the result? I think I would have buckled and looked it up about 20 minutes into the second half.OptimisticJock wrote:Just watched the match

Rewatching. The period between 65-68 minutes had two key plays. Barclay knowing the laws to disrupt a line out maul forming and two mins later kearneys laughable pass to the winger that was miles forward

Squad update from the SRU. Russell still going through the HIA protocol and Brown ok.
Nothing else except "other players are showing the signs of a physical test match and will be managed accordingly".
Good news.

No mention of Watson suggests a serious blunder from VC then.Big D wrote:Squad update from the SRU. Russell still going through the HIA protocol and Brown ok.

Re: 6 Nations
Well that was a great game to watch. Thought we'd blown it again with 70 minutes on the clock, but like a good team, we pounced when it matters and the cats (thanks, EiE) took the just rewards. Sign of a great team is taking the opportunities when you have them - think how many times we entered into the Irish 22m and came away with points?
I think we've got a good change against the French if we play exactly the same way but I would swap out Strauss for Barclay.
