Good to see Vernon, Cummings and Ashe there.

Vernon looks like forward cover, is that just desperation or is he not a centre anymore?

Definitely a team of backups but a decent one at that. Particularly interested in Cummings' return. A good end to the season and he could be a bolter for the summer tour

Corey Flynn? What do you mean? He's probably played in at least half the games this year already. Maybe HP can correct me.
10 games, 2 starts. Bar one game he's brought the experience and solidity he was signed for.

Glad they've signed up Hughes, he's turning into a grand player, plus he's a total mentalist.

Fair enough, I guess I just didn't notice him, am usually pissed or getting the earache off the mrs during the matches on tv.

As he's capped at SA U20s I'm guessing that rules him out as SQ through his dad..

Is Clegg leaving and has the hastings story come to anything?

Clegg is out of contract so I would imagine so.

I know Hastings was in talks with Glasgow. I thought it was close to being done.

Woops. Should have looked it up - Thomson is until the end of the season only. This shouldn't affect Hastings.

Ah, that is interesting. Wonder whether it is with a view to extending. Alternatively might suggest Horne isnt back any time soon. As a short term it sounds fine but long term im dubious about imported backups unless there really is no one.

Only recently, Toby. Dell was capped by them before they nominated it. Not sure when.. 2014/15? But he's tied. Hope Glasgow & the SRU realise as I've seen a couple of articles talking about his Scottish connection!

Anyway onto the game... Glasgow take an early lead as Allan savages yet another opponent at scrum time. 3-0. Very young starting back... can't have an average age of much more than 23 or 24.

What a bizarre penalty to give away. Did Jonhson roll away? No. But he didn't impede the presentation of the ball at all. Mental.

Then again.. it is Clancy.

Grigg has made two scorching clean breaks but throws panicky passes immediately afterwards. Very promising, needs a bit of polishing though.
