The adult in the room.... That's ironic isn't it? Please tell me that's ironic.
Ironic is a word that could be used.

I'm stunned!!!

Prince Harry. I'm no fan of the royals, but watching him at the Invictus Games on Toronto has been amazing. The way he communicates with people and the obvious enthusiasm for what he is seeing is really heart warming.
Say what you like about the Royals, but Harry does have a genuine interest in this. It was also interesting watching Harry's interactions with the Obamas where they seemed to be pretty friendly, compared to the plastic Mrs Trump.

Look up that Ben Garrison guy if you dare. It's really quite something. I don't know if these people genuinely think that the hysterical far-left speak for everybody (everybody except the far-right that is) or it's just an easy narrative to work with

Looks like he is using the same tactic that a number on the far left use which is to undermine the credibility of any opponents. Its pathetic whenever its done, but the idea of Trump being an adult compared to those who oppose him is almost beyond parody.

Black Lives Matter turned into Black Tantrums Matter is bordering on obscene.

So Trump says that the proposed reform that increases tax for the lowest earners and decreases it for corporations, does away with AMT and estate tax "it's not good for me, believe me".

How anyone can believe anything that lying sack of shit says is absolutely beyond me. Lie, blame fake news, move to next lie, (orange) rinse and repeat.

You could argue that it doesn't really affect him one way or the other - it's not like he actually pays tax at the proscribed rates anyway.

Apparently AMT was just about the only reason he paid tax in 2005. You can be sure this is designed to benefit him and his rich friends.

Trigger Warning - Moreporl, you might not want to read this.
Donal Trump, the compassionate, charitable man
http://www.thedailybeast.com/the-time-d ... ont-of-him
The former reality-TV host then shares a story with Stern about the time he thought a man died in front of him during a charity event at his Palm Beach club Mar-a-Lago and, rather than helping the injured man, Trump turned away in disgust at the sight of his blood.

“I was at Mar-a-Lago and we had this incredible ball, the Red Cross Ball, in Palm Beach, Florida. And we had the Marines. And the Marines were there, and it was terrible because all these rich people, they’re there to support the Marines, but they’re really there to get their picture in the Palm Beach Post… so you have all these really rich people, and a man, about 80 years old—very wealthy man, a lot of people didn’t like him—he fell off the stage,” said Trump.

Trump proceeds to explain that it was a $100,000-per-table fundraiser filled with deep-pocketed billionaires, and that the Marines were—for whatever reason—given tables in the very back of the ballroom (“the worst table in the whole place”). Oh, and that he was more preoccupied with his ballroom’s pristine marble floor than the octogenarian bleeding out on it.

“So what happens is, this guy falls off right on his face, hits his head, and I thought he died. And you know what I did? I said, ‘Oh my God, that’s disgusting,’ and I turned away,” said Trump. “I couldn’t, you know, he was right in front of me and I turned away. I didn’t want to touch him… he’s bleeding all over the place, I felt terrible. You know, beautiful marble floor, didn’t look like it. It changed color. Became very red. And you have this poor guy, 80 years old, laying on the floor unconscious, and all the rich people are turning away. ‘Oh my God! This is terrible! This is disgusting!’ and you know, they’re turning away. Nobody wants to help the guy. His wife is screaming—she’s sitting right next to him, and she’s screaming.

Read that yesterday. Too little, too late in terms of bad press imo.

Not much anecdotal stuff can harm Trump at the moment. Jeez, the man can do whatever the fuck he likes as POTUS and can seemingly get away with it so these kinda stories will do the rounds but nowt will come of them.

I have a feeling we've covered this before, but I'm pretty sure not in as much detail:

http://edition.cnn.com/2017/09/28/polit ... index.html

Trump administration lawyers are demanding the private account information of potentially thousands of Facebook users in three separate search warrants served on the social media giant, according to court documents obtained by CNN.

The warrants specifically target the accounts of three Facebook users who are described by their attorneys as "anti-administration activists who have spoken out at organized events, and who are generally very critical of this administration's policies."
I mean, that's totally cool right? Not even slightly the sort of thing extremist, authoritarian governments would do.

Are they simply on a fishing exercise to then try and narrow down on some of the more violent protesters? Even then this seems the wrong way to go around submitting a search warrant, it's not a little police state, it is police state thinking.

Interesting, but potentially dangerous thinking in assuming that race was a huge determin8ng factor. Yes, there were voters who would not have voted for Obama based on his race and would have voted for Trum. Most likely they voted republican in 2008 and 2012.

Race probably played a part, but for me the biggest factor was a need for change. People felt disenfranchised and Hillary just offered more of the same. Trump offered something different. Add to that a poor democrat campaign (and unpopular candidate) and a narrow win for the populist wasn’t a surprise.

Change the names of the actors and you've just described Brexit.

Not far off the French election either; the Germans headed down the same route too, though not as far

Quite an attack on the mayor of San Juan in PR. Probably not the best move considering how much they're suffering.

But it’s all their fault, being poor and all that. Just more evidence that Trump isn’t fit to be president.

From what I’ve been reading of late, I think the democrats are starting to like his presidency. Some deals being made which they quite like. Not sure it will last that long though

The Democrats are playing him. They're only playing ball when it suits them as they know he's still constantly attacking them on Twatter.

Does he honestly think that constantly criticising and attacking people on social media will have no fall back? Silly question as he obviously does think exactly that. He posts crap, gets flak for it and somehow acts surprise that he is getting shit for it.

Besides being unfit for the job, it just goes to show that he has lived 70 years without much in the way of direct opposition to his thoughts. He's so used to saying something and being surrounded by people willing to agree with it.

It wouldn't surprise me if he honestly believes his 'fake news' crap. He thinks he has popular support, but the nasty liberal news don't like him. He clearly thinks he's the best president ever too.

Deluded fool, but a very dangerous one too.

Come on Mueller...mind you, he'll probably be the next high profile person to be looking for a new job soon.

As a (sort of) young person who's largely paid very little attention to history and only recently the most fleeting interest in politics, is Trump pretty much in the driver's seat to be anointed the worst US president of all time? Or have there been others this poor on so many fronts?

He lined up nicely to be cunt of the century; barring an Adolf/JS second coming. Of course, of the likely candidates for that second coming... Trumps front and centre there, just itching to press that big red button (I wouldn't be at all surprised if they've made a big red button specifically for him, rather than reading out launch codes).

Out of interest, what's the award? A golden Fleshlight? He'd like that I reckon, he likes golden stuff, toilets, elevators... showers.

Has anyone got any side-by-side comparisons of his reaction to hurricanes in Texas/Florida (white republicans, contains Trump property) versus Puerto Rico (brown Democrats, no Trump property - sound alike it might be foreign) or be able to draw any links for his reasoning on the difference?
