I watched the highlights of the club games from last weekend and McDowell featured a lot. Looks big, powerful and fast.

Nice tap and go at the end there from wee turbo Horne. Bit of a helter skelter game so far.

Fagerson looked like he meant it on that try.

Ah shame, that would have been class from Hogg.

Wait, can you appeal to the ref to review if you feel you've been gouged now?

Not sure that's a great idea.

Both halfbacks were amusing in that maul. Horne failing to put a dent in that cat coming round the side and then Niko trying to poach that one off the forwards.

Solid win with a weird team.

Stafford Macdowell. He’ll learn from it. Looks a big lad for a Centre.

On Turner there’s a lot to like about him. Has shown real determination and attitude this season but he’s not ready for Test rugby. He will usually show twice a game that his skills - his hands in particular - just aren’t good enough. He looks like another one of these Scottish lads that just doesn’t believe in himself enough - can be a little cowed after an error.

Still a run out for a rake of young players and the Weeg are probably already in such a strong position in the conference that they should be confident about the playoffs assuming they can take at least one of the Embra games at Xmas and ideally both.

I was about to say - Turner has thrown a stupid miracle pass that has either cost Glasgow points or given the other team a serious advantage in almost every game I've seen this season. So glad you corrected me. Hopefully it's been drilled out of him now.

Turner is not test quality but he must be having the of his life now enjoying his rugby. He will get better but he still isn't the answer IMO. I called this out a while back but whilst we are "nationalising" project players - hooker was and still is the number 1 priority position wise. Whether or not you agree with project players the fact remains that it is something we and other nations do. I am somewhat annoyed that hooker has not been identified as a problem position and players signed to address this.

I'd be surprised if they changed much in style but theyl obviously try and be more accurate and compete better physically. Will be a young team again but maybe some Scotland boys released
