Yep. He’s started to bolt on the bits in attack that were, and still are, needed.Epaminondas Pules wrote:Steward is having a good game going forwards.
yep, they have analysed it wellWhich Tyler wrote:FTFYRaggs wrote:England's defence has been poor.
Take away the big misses from Porter and Smith and our defence wouldn't look as bad at all I suspect. 2 individuals missing a lot of tackles is going to make any system struggle.Which Tyler wrote:FTFYRaggs wrote:England's defence has been poor.

When was this last leveled at him?Epaminondas Pules wrote:Lawes (who is not that good at the breakdown) with another great breakdown penalty!
Before the first test. I’m being tongue in cheek as he’s been excellent.Raggs wrote:When was this last leveled at him?Epaminondas Pules wrote:Lawes (who is not that good at the breakdown) with another great breakdown penalty!
Ask Puja and P/D.Raggs wrote:When was this last leveled at him?Epaminondas Pules wrote:Lawes (who is not that good at the breakdown) with another great breakdown penalty!
i dont agree- theyve been making easy yards wide and also popping back inside. Smith\Porter flying up just isnt working. You are also right about a lot of missed tackles- 30%,Raggs wrote:Take away the big misses from Porter and Smith and our defence wouldn't look as bad at all I suspect. 2 individuals missing a lot of tackles is going to make any system struggle.Which Tyler wrote:FTFYRaggs wrote:England's defence has been poor.

I don't mind the pressure misses, there was one where Porter flew across to stop korobete taking the outside, got stepped inside and promptly tackled by the inside defence. But Porter has now missed some straight up one on ones. Smith is getting bumped over too. Ford loses yards but very rarely actually misses, he soaks and gets them down, Smith is missing.Banquo wrote:i dont agree- theyve been making easy yards wide and also popping back inside. quite. The missed tackles are a bit of a function of the system which isnt coping. All the midfield are missing them- they need to reset and defend as a unitWhich Tyler wrote:Care tooRaggs wrote:Take away the big misses from Porter and Smith and our defence wouldn't look as bad at all I suspect. 2 individuals missing a lot of tackles is going to make any system struggle.Which Tyler wrote: FTFY
Yeah... Take out the pot defensive display from half of our backline, and our defence looks okay....
Take out 8-9 missed tackles, and our tackle completion rate looks fine...
its systemic problems, compounded by missed tackles imo Greenwood nailed it- wrong system for this attack.Raggs wrote:I don't mind the pressure misses, there was one where Porter flew across to stop korobete taking the outside, got stepped inside and promptly tackled by the inside defence. Him missing a straight on one on one with Korobeite (I think) where there was no massive step etc, was just a bad miss. Nothing to do with the system. Same with Smith getting repeatedly run over, and even having Lolesio (sp?) just throw him away with no momentum.Banquo wrote:its systemic problems, compounded by missed tackles imo Greenwood nailed it- wrong system for this attack.Raggs wrote:I don't mind the pressure misses, there was one where Porter flew across to stop korobete taking the outside, got stepped inside and promptly tackled by the inside defence. Indeed. There is plenty of poor play right across the team. A few nice moments but generally this is second rate rugby. The ridiculous water break was about the only time we looked like a side with a game plan.Banquo wrote:i dont agree- theyve been making easy yards wide and also popping back inside.
