The issue seems to me that it's not kicking it is shit kicking. My understanding is the point of kick tennis is to disrupt the opposition's defensive system. That wasn't happening in Exeter v Leicester. The defensive lines were static in the middle for the most part, craning their necks, so it was hard to see what was gained. Indeed, it seemed to just go on until the Exeter winger did something each time.

It was different when Burns was on. He was pinning Exeter back with his kicks - I didn't like the tactic, but it was being executed very well. The drop in quality only happened when he went off.
