Malins has been quite impressive so far. We haven't asked him to do too much, but he's been on the spot for every high ball so far, read that kick from Russell well to cover across and made the right decision with the fly-hack, then an excellent finish for the try.

Smith nearly overcooked the chip across though. Didn't need nearly that much on it.

Farrell is playing like a 12 and not a dual 10. It's just simplifying the role for Smith which I think makes it easier for him. Rushed the chip to Malins though.

Farrell and Marchant really shit the bed on that kick chase though. Some pretty poor attempted tackles after that as well.

Marchant is to wide and then Farrell doesn't read the gap outside him so doesn't chase VDM across. Marchant is so wide he gets nowhere near him and the dives desperately instead of chasing back.

Shit. Phenomenal try from VDM, but there were so many mistakes from England. JVP needed to make touch with that kick, the chase was lacklustre, Marchant drifted far too wide, Steward was beaten too easily, Dombrandt went too high - shocking.
