Another try for Scotland , great hands twice by the big forwards let the 10 dive over the line

Guys playing with real swagger trying to keep the ball alive as much as possible

Conversion goes wide

20 - 27

We have missed i think 3 kicks

We lose the restart again and Ireland have a scrum

Its gutting its only 9 points, but we cant convert our trys to save our lives

bit harsh tbh, all of a sudden the ref wants people on their feet in the rucks...

We hold the maul and then get a penalty when the ball hits the deck

Ireland with it just inside their half

Ireland get a dubious turnover but then go down and score

Ref makes another horrible call at the ruck to give Ireland the scrum

30 secs left , ireland get a free kick and then knock on straight away

30 secs left , scotland scrum

We try and run it , and then the 10 comes in and kicks it out

First time we have beaten the irish at this level

Only our kicking kept them in the game

should have won by another 6 at least

Only caught the last 15 minutes and the final try but that was fun from both sides. Pretty positive for the future. Liked the look of McCann at 13 going forwards, unfussy but good hands and awareness. Not really big enough yet though. Speaking of which Graham looks considerably more powerful than last year. Excited to see him at Edinburgh next season.

That's a good win. Enjoyed catching up via the commentary here!

Bring on the Italians. And the kicking practice.

And kick off practice.

It's all on YouTube btw. Avoid the highlights, they miss too much.

Boys would need a cricket score to stand any chance of top 4, Italy may be tired but doubt we will get it.

Win 17-16 v Italy. Comedy drop over the line by Nairn but he then looks to have had a good game with a try and a try saving boot. Not sure who the next game is but improving as ever recently

Not to mention the comedy brainfart by Kinghorn in the dying seconds, which nearly handed the result to Italy. He had a good game apart from that, though.

Game is in the last few seconds, Scotland lead by 1 point, Italy have the ball and are tackled to form a ruck on the Scots' 10m, Kinghorn piles through the Ruck and wipes out the Italian scrum-half. Penalty Italy. Fortunately, they decided to punt it down the line for the line out and the defence held.

I've only seen bits and pieces of the U20s in the tournament. They do appear a bit rough around the edges and made some stupid mistakes but that's to be expected in a way. Having said that they also played some excellent attacking rugby, which was so heartening to see. There's seems to be some real talent coming through and progress being made.
