I guess it would have helped if I'd actually looked at the post that was being quoted. I think I saw the question about how he qualifies and assumed it was Steyn. Even reading the title of the thread might have been a big clue.

I'm not sure if there was an injury and Hutchinson changed positions but he seems to do an awful lot of good work at first receiver here as well as appearing in the wide channels. Highlights I know but he really seems to have some time on the ball and a feel for the timing of a pass right at the line, which is not something many of our backs have got.

I only caught 5 minutes of the first half - he looked decent in that. Nothing too spectacular - just making yards and not dropping it. Would be keen to see him make the final!

Hutchinson just looks like a natural footballer (admittedly only from highlights reel in the last few weeks). Harris ain’t ever going to be that kind of player. I know which type I prefer.

I reckon that Glasgow have got the pick of them with Davidson though. He's really nailed down that starting jersey recently and looks exactly the sort of depth that Glasgow need.

Would have taken Williams at Edinburgh like a shot earlier in the season but his injury history is a worry, especially with Scott and Bennett also on the books.

Not too worried about the others. Graham should pick up a prem contract somewhere and makes an alternative to Glasgow signing Hamilton.

You'd have been proud of your boys down here today. Toulouse beat Clermont 47-44 in the top of the table match. Ritchie Gray scored a try for Toulouse and Greig Laidlaw converted all four tries along with 3 penalties for Clermont.
A cracking match and we await Toulouse's trip to Leinster next Sunday with eager anticipation, although the Ladyboys will surely be favourites.

To be fair he has been injured quite a lot this year and has only really come back into shape mid six Nations after back issues

I'd definitely want him in the mix for the World Cup but I can agree with Townsend not having used him in the 6 nations. He hasn't had a good, injury-free run for a club for such a long time. It's worth knowing whether he can still manage that before bringing him back. If we'd managed to see more of Skinner it would have justified this further I think.

I still can't work out if Toolis is a necessary in the squad to try and fix set-piece issues or the coaching is just garbage in that area for Scotland.

He had played about 4 games before the end of the 6N having been out for a long time. It was also reported at the time that Townsend wanted Gray to get some gametime under his belt.

I am not GTs biggest fan but a half match fit Gray wasn't playing the last 2 6N games to leaving him in Toulouse was the best option.

That’s a big shame, but not a massive surprise. There’s nobody even close to as destructive as he was for us when on top of his game. Shame we didn’t see more of it.

I wasn’t aware many of his recent injuries had been of this nature, until this latest long-term one? I imagine we’ll be seeing a few big names bow out every season for concussion related reasons from now on.
