Ah, the old ‘sign an avalanche of SA forwards’ as step 1 of any new HC taking on a struggling club.
I like that they're advertising him as "World Cup Winner Thomas du Toit". It is true, but glosses over his involvement in the triumph being a grand total of 88 minutes against the might of Namibia and Canada.
Puja
True, but it's not like S.A. are famously short of props

I’m sure it won’t be the last we hear of that one.

Seems bizarre unless he's got a bumper deal waiting for him in France.

Not a surprise really. Van Graan hasn't had a good first season as Bath HC, makes sense he'd want to freshen up the coaching staff and Hatley moving on would help with that. Spending a few months each year down in Australia certainly has its benefits as well so Hatley isn't missing out.

Luke Cowan-Dickie's move to Montpellier is in doubt. He apparently has a cervical injury, and according to French injury regs (which they say are more severe than in GB), that will prevent him from playing in France.
Awaiting more details.

It's to do with insurance isn't it? Figallo the Argentina prop had a neck injury that forced him out of the game in France but he then signed for Sarries and played for several more years.

I'd doubt that- I've been disappointed in his performances, and in fact his lack of development since looking handy in age group. Though on the website it says left by mutual consent, so maybe he has a better offer somewhere

Vern Cotter, who was said to be on the shortlist for the Leicester job, may be on his way to Top14 Perpignan (Perpignan v Leicester? Can't think why he would prefer Perpignan!)

I'd imagine his performance against Ireland, with all French eyes on him, has made his offers a bit more exciting.

At his best, Watson is world class. Another loss to England likely.

Rumour has it that it's a disciplinary issue and he's had his contract cancelled. Don't know how accurate that is, but local papers were touting that line.

Wow, bad enough discipline to be dropped by Saints. He must have done something bad.
