Woman’s sport is only going to grow and grow. Getting an early piece of that pie is a good idea, imo.

I agree but I'm not sure rugby is where that growth will ultimately be.

Wasps have apparently lifted the recruitment ban too, with Blackett saying that if the right person becomes available they can go for it. Might be they chase a Wuss player or two.

Well, the Worcester shysters did propose a merger with Wasps earlier in the week - they got told very promptly to fuck off and stop trying to get their financial debacle reputation mud sticking to Wasps while they're trying to refinance. This isn't exactly the same, but similar feel.

Well if Wasps are looking for a value for money signing then Clegg the Wuss lock would be a damn good start. Help them cover for the loss of Stooke nicely. Noah Heward the young fullback would tick the other box they are rumoured to be wanting to fill.

The merging option from Worcester to Wasps really was a horrible option. Not sure it really fixed any of Wasps current problems.

I think the merge was purely based on the idea that one of the stadiums could be sold and there'd still be another. But I think the stadiums been removed from Wuss the rugby club anyway hasn't it?

Only thing that hasn't I believe. They want the carpark and other space around the ground to develop and sell off.

No-one's going to buy without access to the actual assets, and if it goes into administration, then surely those splits (at least, the recent ones) get reversed as illegal anyway.

Administrators are appointed with the remit of finding a way to pay the businesses creditors. They would sell assets to accomplish this and would have access to any business assets to do so. They'd probably manage to get the bank account unfrozen by whomever as managed to get that sealed off.

I think I'm right in saying for the directors actions to come under a spotlight and for them to face fines or other charges then the company needs to go into liquidation. I imagine that's why the buyers around Worcester are looking at administration and phoenix options for the club so that they can ensure the previous directors actions are investigated. Presumably why the current owners of Worcester are looking for options that don't include liquidation.

Well I'm sad that he was wrong about Worcester, but hope he's wrong about Wasps!

Although the Times are now reporting that Worcester players WILL be paid, but wider staff will only get 65%.

I'm guessing the assumption is that the off field staff will only pay 65% of their mortgage, bills, and food costs this month.

Don't know where that leaves players though. I believe the deadline to get paid was midnight, so I think that ties them in for another month before they become free agents?

I'd assume the players salaries were prioritised for that very reason. Pretty shady thing to do. I'm guessing most of the big names could more easily afford to put food on the table than the cleaners can with only 65%.
