I'd be inching Porter towards that list too.
Only inching?!?!?!?
Taking into account the skewed view Scrumpy Barrellscraper seems to have of him.
Would have been harsh to punish North for that as a deliberate knock on, when he really should have caught it but was too clumsy.
Looked like a slap down to me. He's a lucky boy the ref thought it went backwards otherwise it's a yellow. He's got no chance of catching it at the height he slaps it down and there was England men over.

Can be Andy Goode's last game commentating?
On the feed we've got, we have some generic Englishman and a Welsh lass.
This is doing a good job of tempering expectations of high quality rugby union throughout the world cup.
There will be plenty of quality rugby.
Just not from us.
Or Wales.

Grim stuff, especially compared with the earlier match. SB has it right. Those who don't get a ferry ticket are in this starting XV.

You can’t actually use the TMO to rescind an advantage over call. That’s not actually in the rules. He called advantage over in play: you can’t just change your mind.

Now I hate our commentators who are waxing lyrical about Welsh rugby having turned a corner because of the scrum penalty and try.
Pitiful d there.
Both teams doing the 8 own team mates in a caterpillar ruck and no opposition... A classic of the weak team.

Take it back Re Morgan that was a Micky Skinneresque hit on Pearson!

Why is Smith you blame for Stuart throwing a bad pass?

Decent break undone by a Prop making the pass from a ruck to Smith's knees

Even when we manage to string a couple of decent things together, you just know the knock on is coming.

I don't much care for Bon Jovi, but the stadium DJ has played the exact song to sum up both teams' world cup chances

Ref pinged their scrum in the first half, and has just decided to go the other way after half time.

Borthball. Give the oppo the ball, by knock on or kick, after max 5 phases.

I don't think either are going to manage any blazes of glory.

To be fair, if you see a prop is playing ersatz 9, it's not the time to make a last-minute switch to the blind side, no matter how much space you think you see. Asking a lot of Stuart to change direction mid-pass.

Or it’s 2023 and you should be able to trust any test player to make the pass. Not doing something because you don’t trust your team mate to execute a simple skill is a bad place to be

I shouldn't have put this on for the second half should I? It's been pretty uninspiring.

It's a proper throw away selection, but you'd have hoped we'd have been able to get a functioning line out sorted regardless of who went onto the pitch.
Feel a bit sorry for Marchant, who might have needed a good performance to cement a place, and hasn't done a great deal wrong, but is just stuck in a malfunctioning back line and suffering for it.
