agreed. Allowing Putin to win under the threat of nuclear annihilation makes it very hard to stand up to him in the future. Russia started this fight, I have no issue with allowing Ukraine to win without undue constraints being placed on how weapons are used (noting the need for keeping to international law).

I think Macron has figured this out too. Took some time, but he seems to be getting there.

It was the fact that the Russian spokesman described it as a "provocation" that got me. Oh yeah, Ukraine had better look out with those provocations; Russia might invade them or bomb their cities!

Russia's already doing its worst. It's not going to use nukes coz it doesn't want to rattle the bigger bear's cage. It's already tried and failed to take the whole country. A more recent report suggests this is a 2 brigade operation, so not inconsequential numbers.
