I used to think the Turks were loud - until the Arabs moved into the street

I think half my neighbors are Arabs these days and boy do they shout a lot - especially the women! They're at it again right now

Out of I treat - what is it about a different start date for the seasons that makes you think about flat earthers or Copernicus? It's never had anything to do with either.
In the UK the leaves are starting to turn, the night-time temperature is dropping, plant life is slowing down were into Autumnal weather patterns (approximately), soft fruit season has more-or-less ended and we're into hard fruits and nuts and it's getting dark around 8.00
In terms of nature, were into Autumn - which yes, is out of sync with the equinox/solstice calendar, but is still scientific, and far more relevant to what anyone would call a "season". The meteorological seasons are based in what nature is doing around us, though fudged a bit or each degree of latitude would have a different date.
Astronomical seasons are based on the position of the planet relative to the sun, and is so ony a convenient, and easily measured way to divide the year into 4 equal quarters. A more sensible approach to the astronomical season would be to place the equinox/solstice in the middle of the season - which is what the ancient (British) calendars did.
All 3 are valid, all 3 are scientific, and all 3 are used in different locations around the world. None require a geocentric perspective, and certainly none require a flat earth perspective that has never existed as common perception.
The oak and beech are fruiting here. That's my cue for a seasonal change.
And for the record, I'd love to talk about Darwin. Mutation is the vehicle for evolution, and that is my professional bread and butter. Or meat and two veg.

re: noisettes..
Maybe it's a wayne dance, in celebration of the transition from waning gibbous (yesterday) to waning crescent (tomorrow)..'tis lunacy I tell ye.

Any loud noise late at night near sleepers is asking for it.

Those stupid "plant protein" drinks. More pseudoscience in a non-biodegradable plastic bottle. I bet they are clear felling the Amazon basin and planting acres of brown rice and flax that lives for only one year.

I don't think it's the "gluten free" part that should bother you, but the people who aren't gluten-sensitive who are insisting on gluten free.
There are people with serious gluten allergies or sensitivity who genuinely need gluten free skin and haircare products because otherwise it causes rashes and irritations.

The M25 and all the arseholes on it yesterday.
Spent a couple of hours parked up on there yesterday, desperate for a shit, people cutting each other up to make an extra yard of distance, no lights on in the pissing rain, tailgating etc etc. Props to the taxi driver in front of me for not getting out and going postal after the sixth near miss at no fault of his own.
Still raging this morning.
Now to go and sit on the M6 and the set of c**** that use that hell hole of a road to shitsville.

Describing something as aesthetic, meaning beautiful or nice to look at, when they are actually meaning to describe the aesthetics of something.
Maybe this is flat-out wrong or controversial, but t seems ducking weird to me. It feels like the “team X are very attacking” one that I also have a problem with.

The aesthetics of cheek augmentation, both facial and buttock areas, is questionnable.
Usually wannabe or has-been C-list celebs or fashion victims it seems - surely these grotesque trends will go the same way as bee-hives/horn-rimmed glasses of the 60's and kipper-tie/flares of the 70's ? (along with gharish neck or face tattoos.)

It’s just weird. You wouldn’t describe a defender as “very tackling” or someone in the lineout as being “very jumping”.

Big rail stations that announce and display that a stopping in/out service is cancelled due to..( pick a reason - this case 'earlier derailment') when in fact, it isn't...leaving the majority of unsuspecting passengers to click their heels for the extra half-hour whilst the train gets a fast get-away.

I think he’d be an example of Generation Z.
As we’re there, naming generations. As a society we are rightly moving away from pigeon holing people based on the facts of their birth but bracketing people by generation seems only to becoming more prevelant.

True this, though not sure about the Snowflake term freely interchanging with Millenials..
This Baby-boomer is off to the funeral of his Greatest Generation Aunt next week, whose GG husband is still alive, married at end of WW2 (both RAF).
My Silent Generation mother is still going strong and fits that descriptive pretty well.

I hate the odd people who go on the HYS/BTL comments and are just an ass for the sake of it, prevalent in Rugby in particular (for me). Leading from something relevant to the foreign import bullshit or similar tedious tired old arguments and gratuitous spitefulness.
Talking of which, have all HYS gone from the Beeb website or is it just me?

Nope. While there's no specific consensus on the matter, generally speaking a millennial is someone who was between their teens to around 20 between the 31st of December, 1999 and the 1st of January, 2000.

bit tight that...
alternatively 'United States Census Bureau defines the millennial generation as those born from 1982–2000',
(which means 21 year-olds might be called 'Justin'..)
