A 12T - Booj centre partnership at Goldington Road next season. Insert aubergine and splash emojis here.

Badly kept secret that it will be Ealing.

11 years at 1 club is remarkable. Has a lot of influence behind the scenes, moreso as his appearances have become infrequent. Top chap.

Ben Moon has had a neck injury, feel for him as otherwise he'd have had a few more years left.

Calum Chick (allegedly) turns down Exeter approach to re-sign with Newcastle.

Also, Charlie Matthews leaving Quins, destination unknown (although probably Ealing considering they seem to be signing everyone else).

Solomone Kata to Tigers from Chiefs is the rumour. He played for incoming Tigers coach McKellar at the Brumbies though as a winger.

I wouldn't turn him down - he's a useful crash ball merchant. I was going to say signing him was a bit superfluous, but thinking about the number of times we've had to put Potter or Gopperth into the centres, maybe not. Not a good omen for PCokanasiga's chances though.

He covers wing and centre. We haven't got masses of either and in a world cup year he's be very useful. If Kelly is going to be a staple of Borthwick's England then we could definitely do with more cover. Scott is into his thirties, Gopperth is in his forties. Porter, Kelly and Scott have had a tendency to pick up injuries. Murimurivalu and Saumaki are likely off so a smash ball option for the wing would be a nice option to have.

Doesn't look great for Phil Cokanasiga but we'll see when the new head coach gets here. Woodward coming through at a rate of knots isn't great for him either but he's got another year at under 20 level so he's quite young still and Gopperth with one more year is more likely to be succeeded there.

12. Kelly, Kata, Gopperth
13. Porter, Scott, Cokanasiga

 W O W. If true, that's an even more expensive night out than the one the Barbarians players took a couple of years back.

You'd imagine Exeter would take him back, but I can't imagine they've got the cap spare to offer what they had before (and there is a question whether it'd be worth paying big bucks for him given his absences with England and injury).

The speculation is that he knew he wouldn't pass the more stringent french league medical for his neck injury. I doubt exe would have him back if they can't afford him. A mess all round.

That has to be it, doesnt it? He knows that he's not going to pass the medical so ducked out of it. Hard to imagine a pro player being so thoughtless as to risk his employment prospects in this way otherwise.

I was surprised when he said he was off to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if this was LCD ensuring he can back out of the move and stay at Chiefs and playing for England next season.

Currently Chiefs have half the squad going but only a handful of signings coming in. I'm sure they'll find room for a hooker of LCD's quality. I doubt they've got a dozen signings to announce as they'd have already done them to appease fans at a time of season ticket renewal. So recruitment must be ongoing.

Sale need a new hooker with Ewan Ashman off..... I wonder if he fancies joining ex team mates Jonny Hill and Tom O'Flaherty up in the North West ;)

Rotating Akker and LCD. That would be a physical ball in hand pair of hookers.

I've heard worse shouts, tbh. Sale do love a bargain buy and he'd certainly fit in. Can't imagine they've got cap space though, unless he's coming *really* cheap.
