That's a good effort for someone his age without even a proper pre-season. Hopefully he can properly break through over the next year or two.

I've been watching a fair bit of the English Premiership since it restarted.

Some games a bit of a farce because of turn round times and 2nd teams put out, bt there are a few things of interest.

2 or 3 sides must be breathing huge sighs of relief that Saracens are relegated for off filed stuff, cos they are proper shite.

I include among these London Irish, for whom a player who I always thought was ok (but did well enough for us TBF) is playing out of his skin. Step forward Blair Cowan, its like he's playing the opposition on his own in the games I've seen

Robin Hislop on load to Saracens. Good player, IMHO never quite big enough to be a top prop while at Edinburgh and beyond. But he survives and flourished in the championship so must have done a Dickinson down there.

That's a fair shout. He has an insane passion for the game and for that club it seems.

Very hard to tell what the actual quality is of any NH rugby at this point, with the rust, the law interpretations and the general weirdness of everything in the world. Some pretty dire looking matches so far in the premiership that's for sure. The NZ comp looked absurd in comparison.

Also Kerr at Leicester, though seems to be their B/C team that they're sending out.

Good to see Ashman get a game but the fact that Sale have just brought Webber out of retirement rather than play him is hardly encouraging. Either he's not ready for the pros, or it's just not likely to happen at sale.

He's at Sale and he's not South African.

Its not a club I think I could recommend to anyone while Diamond prunes his ample ego there, and still witters about rugby being soft when a player gets an HIA

Unless Russell can orchestrate a big lead, I can't see Racing winning this. They won't live with Exeter in the last quarter if its close, if Exeter go into the last quarter ahead it won't finish close. Then again Exeter might do and Edinburgh and choke, but I can't see it

Great to see so many Scots involved in the business end of the season. It was a long wait until this generation came along and it'll be a long wait for the next so I hope Toony is able to realise their potential soon...

their 5m stats are unbelievable.

I think myself that much of it is not within the laws (too many latchers in front of carrier to prevent a dominant tackle, prevent a jackal contest, and regular sealing off, and too often a player on side of ruck swings round and out to block/take out fringe defender). But fair play to them they are rarely pulled up for any of that, play to the ref at all times!

I like how Racing play. For a neutral or a non anorak Exeter can be a non rugby team for long spells as they wear teams down, but they can also be an all court team if they get on top or the opposition make an error anywhere on the pitch
