For what it's worth, I do hope to see a female president in my life time, but one who is a real feminist, not one who accepts donations from Saudi and promotes wars against their enemies.

It's my perspective, nor an endorsement. The war crime apologists are evidently very bitter.

I think we need to reserve judgement on whether Trump is preferable, warmongery-wise, to Clinton until he has actually taken office and made some decisions about war. He has already advocated war crimes, so I wouldn't be making any assumptions based on zero data points so far.

A couple more good stories to come out of the election here:
Last night, Hawaii not only elected Japan-born Mazie Hirono to be the first ever Asian-American woman elected to the Senate, they also elected Democrat Tulsi Gabbard as the first ever practicing Hindu to the US House of Representatives. Hawaii has been declared a Fox News Disaster Zone.

Former refugee Ilhan Omar, who proudly wears the hijab, became America’s first Somali-American Muslim woman legislator after she claimed a strong victory in the Minnesota House race.

The tender little snowflakes are protesting, universities are having counselors brought in to help students deal with their emotional stress, professors are offering to allow students to skip mid terms if the election results have caused them too much emotional anguish. What the hell are these little darlings going to do in the real world?

Education is not such a bad thing you know. This anti-academic reactionary nonsense is a large part of why the country ended up with the two fuckwit presidential candidates it did.
These kids will inherit the fall out.

Why, because I don't hate them? Hmmm. That must come very strangely to you. Perhaps it's because I grew up in New Zealand, where the anti-Russian propaganda wasn't quite so intense as it was in North America & Western Europe. I've also lived and worked in Russia, albeit it short term only.

You seem to be incapable of distinguishing between people and their government.
You infer with this post that I hate Russians (because I wasn't brought up in New Zealand, or something). This simply isn't true and I challenge you to find a post where I have ever said that. I too have worked in Russia, and have a number of Russian friends and colleagues, some of whom still live in Russia and some who won't ever live there again.
On the other hand, you appear to follow the Kremlin line very, very closely. To the point of being a Trump fanboi when the Kremlin backed him in the election (and quite possibly positively intervened behind the scenes). This, I find curious for someone who professes to having strong left-wing beliefs, as the Russian political system is a corrupt kleptocracy run by billionaire oligarchs that is not afraid to dispose of troublesome opposition politicians when it suits them (e.g Nemtsov).
Furthermore, the critical analysis that you subject anything from "the West" to is notably missing when it comes to your naive acceptance of any utterance from the Kremlin, however unbelievable.
Edited to add: One last thing. You grew up in New Zealand, I grew up in the "evil" United Kingdom. What makes you think you are in a position to judge what level of "anti-Russian propaganda" I was "subjected" to, when you were on the other side of the planet?

Your comments show just how blatantly anti-Russian you are, Stones. The proof's in the pudding. Of course I'm aware of Russia's faults, but living and working in the country certainly provides added insight, as you yourself demonstrated with your final paragraph in that rant. I don't hate Russia so much that I blame them for conflicts the West has blatantly instigated - such as Ukraine and Syria - whereas the propaganda industry which passes for American & British mainstream media does. I've been following it closely on the internet for the past 16 years, and we always got a fair bit of it sent our way in New Zealand when I was growing up as well. I didn't suggest we were free of this propaganda. We simply didn't get as much of it as you evidently did.

I saw a US cultural commentator recently talking about intelligence being very trendy at the moment. I got the feeling she was just talking about The Big Bang Theory.
Which leads me to the thought that the rest of the entire world consider the UK as being like Top Gear.
