I think that's standard at all levels of rugby :-)

That's pretty nice by the ABs but questionable whether JD needed to step in and tackle the 12.
he didn't, bad communication and the system broke down; out to in trade off fail

Good half, bar handling errors and Faz-errors. Itoje a mighty shift.

Cometh the hour cometh the Iceman. What a crock of shite. We desperately need Sexton to stay fit.

An alright first half but I think the Lions may actually go in slightly happier looking at the scoreline. The ABs have pushed it but at the same time I think they left a couple of tries begging, and Beaudan needs to be pulled from goal kicking.

Will be interesting to see what part fitness plays, the AB replacements usually pull away but the bench isn't as scary as it usually is.

I'd say we're too happy to kick the ball, but we are getting duffed up in the pack. If NZ can keep up that pace and workrate in the pack they should win this easily in 2nd half

Maybe the subs can swing it back to the Lions, but it's a game of such a high pace that unless that drops it could be very hard to get into the match coming off the bench

Adam_P wrote:How many times has NZ ball gone wide to Watson's wing and he has been no where near where he should be to defend it?!
Probably because he's having to mark two or three players in the defensive system.

think it'll be about whether they can take any chances early- they've chucked away 2 or 3 to our one. If not, think the mental side will kick in.

We have kicked three or four too many, but have looked dangerous when running it......so.....

TBH the shouty bit is under instruction to be a bit nastier dating back to EJ first picking him. But it is unedifying.

O'Brien a big loss

Looking at it again that Farrell intercept was appalling for am I international to throw. There wasn't an overlap and best case the winger would have been tackled as he caught it.

Doesn't matter that Daly made that kick if the Lions are going to return the favour. Odd not to go for points though

nearly for NZ, but that's why you take the points, and that 's maybe why Read needs to tell BB he's just the playmaker.

SOB off now struggling post the Kaino clearout

Out to in works. There you see why Watson isn't out on the wing in defence often

yes, BB lacking confidence. He looks out of sorts generally at the mo.

Sure hands Savea again.

AB's trying to force it a bit, which is good news.
