Anyone heard that Ali Price could be signing for Gloucester?

Josh Bayliss called up by Scotland- didn't know he was eligible.
Good player, good enough for a few caps, but not going to get close for England with our strength in depth.

Wow. Interesting move. Had no idea he was eligible either. Seems a fair summation of him from what I've seen. Probably no USP that puts him up there with the current contenders but he seems to put himself about.
Not sure how many times I've seen him for 80 rather than in highlights. The sense I get so far is big physical presence, reasonable in the loose in general, pretty strong over the ball. What's his work-rate like? Line-out jumper? Now I'm not sure if I'm mixing him up with Ellis.

Looks like Huw Jones is on his way to Bayonne for a couple of seasons.

Hopefully bit works for both him and the club

I wonder if he's got a get-out clause if Bayonne are relegated to Pro D2?

Looks like it's just a verbal contract as of now with an opt out close (source : le rugbynistere)

I read that as just being subject to medicals etc.
Opt out clauses are common but he needs a club with available budget for it to be of any use

Not being relegated seems to be the main condition. Johnny Beattie still lives around Bayonne. Wouldn't be surprised he was involved in the negotiations. It's a really nice place to live.

It is indeed, the ocean and the mountains on the doorstep with regular flights to the UK from Biarritz.
From the rugby point of view, Bayonne are currently 13th, and at the end of the season the club in 14th is automatically relegated (that's Agen who have lost all 17 matches and are as good as down), and the club in 13th plays off against the runner-up after the ProD2 play-offs, so they may have a play-off match against bitter rivals and neighbours Biarritz!

tasty! No love lost between them IIRC. Who are the REAL Basques!
Bayonne is indeed a nice place, I like Biarritz as well.

Gray, Skinner and Hogg start for Exeter. Gray has carried 5 times in the first 2 minutes somehow.

Former Scottish prop, Darryl Marfo, has apparently signed a short-term contract with Leicester.
How good is he?

strange one.
Got a short deal with Edin, prop injuries IIRC
Got called up for Scotland as prop crisis got worse. 3 tests, held his own and more against NZ and Aus, Samoa. Was excellent, couldn't believe he'd been struggling to get a proper deal.
Back to edin and went back to being a player not quite there, eventually released. As he has been everywhere I think.
A very good player in there, doesn't seem to be able to bring him on to the park consistently.

Thanks. Only hope he gets some game time to show his worth.

Leicester have released hooker Jake Kerr with immediate effect. He'd slipped to 4th choice behind Julian Montoya, Tom Youngs and Charlie Clare.
I wonder if he'll be picked up by Edinburgh?
