coughed up the ball twice, not good enough.

That poor scrum has changed the game completely.

Must be approaching 20 missed tackles which is way too much.

Cheap turnovers are killing them too.

Watson's defensive work has been excellent, so shame about that knock-on.

This. Its actually been a lot like watching Scotland from about 3 or 4 years ago. You know the players have the skills and abilities but they just arent producing it consistently against an opposition who are coherent and well drilled.

It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

I imagine the All Blacks will be doing a few more lineout drills than normal next week.

Fair point. I was thinking that all the lions seem to be playing pretty well. They're just not clicking and the all blacks take advantage of any friction. Perhaps it always was too much of a tall order

huge number of tackles though (20 from 162!)- the ABS percentage is actually worse. But yes, you can't afford so many.

Murdered on territory and possession so far- we have coughed up too much easy ball.

Blimey, a penalty for blocking. He'll start calling them for taking out defenders next. Things are looking up. Now, if we could just stop coughing up the pill we might get somewhere.
