3 out of 9 is a poor return. Quite possibly our worst ever.
Think we've struggled at prop and SH in particular this year. Frankly none of the many players tried has looked the part.

Agreed. I can only assume there's been a number of injuries as well considering the large squad turnover between the 6N and this erm 6N or whatever they are calling it. With so much squad turnover was always going to be tough to settle into a cohesive team.

I've not been able to watch any of them this summer - how did Ewan Richards and Sam Harris go?

Won a GS last year so guess need to hold off judgement. Another poor season next year and might need to look at the setup? Hopefully no deeper issues in the pathway?
There's been issues in the pathway ever since the RFU decided to bring in Dean Ryan. Even though he left not too long after a significant amount of damage was done.

One thing to consider is that we're lacking Arundell and Joseph, both of whom are full capped already.
Add in the chop and changing that's been done and some clear deficiencies in certain positions (SH being an obvious one)

I’m sort of clinging to the fact that we dominated pretty much every game last year in winning a slam with a good crop. And this group of under 20’s will be the ones most affected by covid. I’d guess most of them barely played any rugby at all between u18 and this season.
Hopefully Connor O’Shea can straighten out the mess Ryan left.

Richards formed a nice partnership with Chessum Jnr. Chessum doing a lot of the tight and grunt work freed up Richards to do some carrying. Let down a bit by some iffy hooker performances at the lineout. Think Richards has managed to bag himself two or three tries.
Harris I didn't see the game he started but one of the games where he came off the bench he looked handy. Nice skillset and I think England were using him to kick to touch after Finn Smith was forced off (Walsh was the replacement 10).
