BiL need to screw the nut, some on field leadership is desperately needed right now
It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Re: 1ST TEST
More of a team comment than one aimed at Russell. Not quite the cohesion of the first halfCameo wrote: ↑Sat Jul 19, 2025 12:30 pmI'm just not seeing that from Russell. He had one charge down, otherwise has been in complete control and looked very calm.Sandydragon wrote: ↑Sat Jul 19, 2025 12:19 pmNot entirely slick at the moment. Need to cal,m down as they could easily rack up a cricket score here.
Australia putting up more of a fight now. Not convinced by Earl's tackle. Arms swing round but they are aiming down to the ground.
Funny one. Is it a double movement if defenders drag you over the line?

Lions were on a yellow card warning there
Shocking decision clearly tackles with his shoulder/back

Subs seem to have disrupted lions fluency. Tuipolotu being missed with Aki and Russell still not on the same wavelength

I think jgp has been awful this half, and he’s the only one still on.

Oz deserve that for sheer persistence.

I don't think they've had enough ball for him to be awful.
Anyway, good from Australia. Harry Wilson is a very good, and very enjoyable player. I reckon Tizzano should have started too.
Lions still comfortable here.

Oh, and this surely means you need to have Morgan or Pollock on the bench next time instead of Earl.

Has MS come on for Russell?

Most subs have been a big step down for the lions.
Porter, Chessum, Earl especially.

Re: 1ST TEST
Just protecting players I reckon, plus if it opens up Smith can add something.
Don't think the backs have had a chance to do anything this half. Don't think there's any lack of control from them apart from maybe a couple of average kicks from 9. Australia have been in it because their pack have got into it.
