Genge has been terrific all tour
He has. Phenomenal athlete. Aussie commentators talking about him not holding his weight and needing to keep his elbow up though.

Faz comes on at 13 and instantly misses two tackles. Then proceeds to add nothing for the rest of the game.

Entertaining stuff - more immense stuff from Itoje.
Rule interpretation can lotterise things a bit, feeding into this.
Pleased for Russell & Genge has managed his bulk up perfectly.

Yeah, he won't have gone to bed last night wanting to have that call in the final minute. Probably right decision, but could equally say he didn't come close to staying on his feet.
Good game overall. Lions lived off scraps a bit but once they fixed the discipline plus Valentini and Skelton went off and tired respectively, I think they looked the better team.
As curious as anyone about Jones coming off. If he wasn't injured it was bizarre. Those last few phases there aren't many I'd pick ahead of Jones (or behind Farrell) to pick a line or beat a man and score. Luckily Keenan did it instead. Good composure all round, and good skills under pressure.

Bench did actually make an impact, Genge, Stuart and Morgan with a bit of Ryan and Kinghorn brought some needed gas. Faz…. will start next week I’m sure.
Hope we field first team next week.
Itoje motm- worked socks off.

Ok it's a tiring defence but the difference in pace, threat and running lines was stark

I've noticed how effective Russell has been in defence on this tour. He is not a dominant/bone crusher tackler but has very quietly and effectively plugged the 10 channel. He's often fast back on his feet too, to complete a second tackle. I don't think I have heard any of the TV wise sages mention this. Fair play Russell.

Indeed. Freeman had a good game, yellow aside (and not sure it was him), Keenan too, but Kinghorn was terrific

Yes - Kinghorn showed the gas and footwork that the Lions have been missing. Happy that Farrell persevered with Keenan. Both should start next week.

Ref was decent..
Genge was very good. Maro.ran himself into.the ground. Russell not at his best but his mind was sharp taking advantage of situations with the boot.
Thought the back 3 were pretty average for the first 50-60 bar one or two nice touches. Weren't covering the back field well and out competed on high balls. Amd Lowe especially was shocking in defence, missing tackles and making poor reads.
Glad for Keenan after his injury luck that he is now a player with a series winning try.

A small word for Ryan. I thought he should not have been in the 23. But he threw in a few massive hits and put himself about. His best performance on tour.
