Seemed to have a good burst a season or so back then just stalled a bit? Could be a good signing, though it’s hard to say where Exeter are heading at the moment.

Yeah they are in a rebuilding phase. Missed out on the aussie sh. I don't think they can compete financially with the big boys.

Wild to see him signing up for another spell of being stuck behind Varney. I thought there was a really good player in Chapman when he had that burst, but he dropped out of Glaws first team and then just never seemed to make his way back in.Mikey Brown wrote: ↑Thu Apr 03, 2025 7:36 am Seemed to have a good burst a season or so back then just stalled a bit? Would he even be ahead of Townsend?
Going from 3rd choice at Glos to 3rd choice at Exeter - maybe he's hoping "A change is as good as a break" - it's worked for plenty in the past

Coming back from Pau where he's been playing and starting fairly regularly. Feels like a weird signing - I haven't seen anything of him in France, but I can't imagine he's got good enough to be signed as Quins' first choice. However, if he's been playing as a starting tighthead at least semi-regularly in the Top 14, it feels like he might be expensive to be a backup.

Not keen on this after his "beliefs"...https://rugbyonslaught.com/pr-crisis-fo ... own-posts/Puja wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 8:50 amComing back from Pau where he's been playing and starting fairly regularly. Yeah I wasn’t too happy reading that, but couldn’t place why it was I remember thinking he seemed like a bit of a knob.
It’s very strange going back and looking at that Covid/lockdown discussion.
A decent prem level player on his day but can’t say I’ve seen him at all while in France. I just hope he’s got rid of that awful fucking beard, if not all the conspiracy theories.

He's in Pau's starting XV in this evening's match at home to Bath.Puja wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 8:50 amComing back from Pau where he's been playing and starting fairly regularly. I saw him saying he's a South London boy originally and his dad used to take him to watch Quins. He's a big unit, I thought he'd kick on at some point but he never did. Should be a reliable back up.

Eeeesh. I'd forgotten about that. Yeah, not particularly edifying.Stom wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 9:44 amNot keen on this after his "beliefs"...https://rugbyonslaught.com/pr-crisis-fo ... own-posts/Puja wrote: ↑Fri Apr 04, 2025 8:50 amComing back from Pau where he's been playing and starting fairly regularly.
