Re: Hodge's Heroes
I was poking fun at how ridiculous this is. He went off injured back in Jan/Feb I think? Edinburgh have yet to announce anything. Nobody seems to know where he is, what's wrong, when he's due back - if at all.

We know he has a foot injury he was listed as injured on every team announcement iirc.

I see HW's point though. We have no right to all the details but it does seem odd that none of us know whether he is even back for preseason for exampleBig D wrote:We know he has a foot injury he was listed as injured on every team announcement iirc.

What is it with Edinburgh and signing naff wingers?Big D wrote:Jason Harries.. ....hmmm not sure about that signing at all.
Come to think of it. What do Edinburgh actually need? They're screaming out for a decent 10 but besides a centre or two I think they've got enough numbers in the squad?

Re: 1872 Cup Runners Up
You would think people would have given up pre judging signings by now. It really was not long ago I read a load of people shitting on about eskimo being a bad signing before he showed up.
Visser was a bang average winger struggling to get into the Falcons starting XV before he rocked up and became multiple time league top scorer.
Baz, I'm sure Cockhead will give us a title fairly swiftly. I like the one you've given it just now though.

Honest to god, I think we're a bit desperate for a 10 and a 12, but other than that, we just need the players who are there to start playing like they can

I am when he is fit and available.OptimisticJock wrote:Not a Bennett fan D?
He's out until well into the the season. So the need for a 13 still exists even if just a 1 year deal.

Ach Catman without useless speculation and moaning the message boards are boring.Edinburgh in Exile wrote:You would think people would have given up pre judging signings by now. It really was not long ago I read a load of people shitting on about eskimo being a bad signing before he showed up.

But I think it's fair to be sceptical of the Harries signing. Didn't play pro 15 a side until well into his 20s and although he can maybe cover centre is he really a better option than say Farndale?

Who on earth slated Nel before coming over? Are you sure that wasn't the morons over on the gunners forum? Some real potatoes over there.

Don't know, thought he was alright for the Baabaas.Cameo wrote:Is the Robbie Freuan thing happening?
I do like that sentence as the new fred title though. Especially if Embra don't sign him.

Fruean was very, very good tonight. Better hope he's already signed because that will have caught the attention of a few teams.

I'm fairly certain Jim Telfer slated Nel before he arrived. Said something along the lines of South African props being big lumps that couldn't scrummage.

Re: 1872 Cup Runners Up
Why are Glasgow in Pot 4 for this draw this afty? Does it just go on domestic performance?
Anyway, if you're not seeded, I don't think it makes too much difference, save that you can't draw a shitty Italian team.

Oops. Wrong thread. Name confusing! Forgot that Glasgow won it this time in a thrilling afterthought of a domestic contest.

Strange seeing Toolouse in the diddy cup.
Stade Francais, Embra, LIrish, Krasny Yar
That is a hell of a trip, it is over towards the general direction of Mongolia. Really long travel time.
