1000 capacity and I doubt there'll be many travelling from either team. Go for it.Adder wrote:Round 2: Krazny A Fili Stadium, Moscow .... Saturday 21st October 2017... hmmmm

Edinburgh team up. Three changes. Kinghorn, Fife and Bradbury in. Darcy Graham getting another start which is promising

Well I've never been, but my ex would go regularly. It's quite a slow process, you have to receive an official invitation (hotel/ friend) and it's quite pricy. Not really worth it for a couple of days.

Re: 1872 Cup Runners Up
I know they're just pre-season games and I haven't even seen a single second of that match but high level - scraping past a poor team & low scoring affair sounds pretty familiar. At least it's a win I suppose.

Yeah, I'd prefer them to lose 38-34 and at least show their attack was working. Still, werent you calling for a no nonsense, back to basics coach to knock some sense into them? This is what you get.hugh_woatmeigh wrote:I know they're just pre-season games and I haven't even seen a single second of that match but high level - scraping past a poor team & low scoring affair sounds pretty familiar. I still think theyl do ok this season. 3rd or 4th in the conference and better all round performances

Edinburgh won't be fixed overnight - it's just hard to get excited about their performances.Cameo wrote:Yeah, I'd prefer them to lose 38-34 and at least show their attack was working. I still cannot believe they didn't go for Jackson or Hastings themselves.

Don't know what sort of team Newcastle put out, but I think they'll be decent this season.
Win's a win, I suppose.

Re: RE: Re: 1872 Cup Runners Up
The SRU/Dobson/Johnson were never ever signing off on Hastings to Edinburgh.
They (Scott Johnson and RC) should be looking to identify a non SQ 10 for next season.
Edinburgh also don't have the depth of good players to be missing some of the players they currently are. It's a long term project but they beat what looks close to a full strength Newcastle side with a team missing several of their likely preferred 23; 3 international LHs, Ford, Nel, Toolis, Watson (currently miles better than Hardie), Fruean, Bennett, Hoyland and possibly the big Saffa winger. Even Burleigh too not that we rate him.
So there are positives in that they won even if a friendly, gave plenty boys a run out, have a load of their better players to come back and Bradbury picked up his 1st win as a captain.
And, whilst it isn't pumping a shite dragons side (their defence was abysmal in highlights) it also isn't getting pumped 55-15 by Northampton.
It's a starting point that can, and will need to be built off. If Bradbury is to be captain, it was good for him and Cockerill to get wins. Next will be getting their 1st competitive win.

Bradbury seems pretty young and erratic to be a captain but d be delighted to be proven wrong. He's got the raw materials.

RC hasn't named a captain yet. Rumour and comments suggest he is going to appoint a younger member of the team.Mikey Brown wrote:Bradbury seems pretty young and erratic to be a captain but d be delighted to be proven wrong. He's got the raw materials.

That's..... interesting.
Looking forward to the season starting and actually intend to go to a few games now that Embra seems to be heading in the right direction.
