How someone who was allegedly receiving help for mental health issues can legally buy 7 firearms and hide them away in their parent's home without anyone knowing is beyond me.

Emmett Till x 100. You'd need a Time Machine to be more regressive. I couldn't give two fucks for any calls for "let's assess the facts" - type justification. This shouldn't happen in any civilised discourse. I was out on a bike ride last week and came across a young autistic man that had wandered off piste and had no juice on his phone to call his mum to pick him up from his swimming club. I had no phone either and went to 5 houses before I found someone willing to easily sort the situation out with a call to his mum. The fifth house occupants were fucking fantastic, but should I expect to be shot on sight at the other four? Fuck you and your stand your ground cartoon community.

Jesus fuck that is appalling. Some idiot who has no doubt been wound up by Tucker Carlson et al to be "in fear of his life" at the sight of an unexpected black person, combined with the fact that guns are so normalised that he had one to hand when answering the door. Just incredible.
Glad to hear that the kid is stable. Hope he manages to recover, at least physically.

You really do not require a military knock off, semi automatic weapon for hanging squirrels, hogs or other animals. I'm mean, squirrels, seriously? If thats what turns you on use an air rifle.

Hunting feral hogs I can maybe give them, as their skin is made of teak and they are bloody dangerous when just wounded, so a shit hunter might need a spray and pray weapon. But a squirrel is ridiculous. Surely it would just be entirely vaporised?

I would stay the fuck away from any area that some fat fuck felt compelled to discharge an automatic assault rifle willy nilly in. It's unethical and unsafe, and if you can't handle a humane shot from a single round using a centre fire then you should probably get your pork from the supermarket.

I can see a place for a semi-auto for shooting feral pigs, i.e. for a pest control scenario rather than true hunting. In Western Aus the mobs got pretty large and did significant damage.

Thank god the well-regulated militia entrusted by the second amendment allows patriots to defend us from the horrors of basketballs from the neighbours, cheerleaders getting in cars, strange women pulling into our driveways and suspicious looking teenagers ringing our doorbells. Feral pigs too, but not the good kind in uniform.
