Fuck me he is astoundingly unsophisticated. Not a hint of irony.

I like the idea that without capitalising certain words you'd have no way of realising they hold any importance at all.
I was listening to a discussion with some woman called Anne Applebaum who was saying they've been prompted in the white house to use the actual words 'Donald Trump' (rather than government/president/leadership etc.) as frequently as possible in all written briefings to increase the likelihood that he actually reads them, as that's apparently a massive concern they have.

I assumed you meant 'infrequently' but there's no other negative and now I'm not so sure.

Perhaps I'm missing a joke. I definitely meant to write frequently, as in he is only likely to read an article properly if he happens to see his name in there.

Not Trump related, but Repugnican:
Basically Greg Gianforte is up for re-election today, so yesterday, he decided to literally beat up a (UK Guardian) reporter for asking questions he didn't like.
Gianforte then put up this statement claiming innocence and blamking Ben Jacobs for tresspass and aggression:
Other reporters from Fox News (famously liberal in it's outlook, and always looking to bury a knife into the nearest Republican... obviously) claim that the above statement is bullshit, and that it was an unprovoked attack on a journalist, literally on the eve of the election. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017/05 ... orter.html
Jacobs reported the incident to the cops it traditional American manner, it's being investigated by.... a personal donor to the Gianforte campaign.
We believe that you cannot love America, love the Constitution, talk about the importance of a free press and then pummel a reporter.
Beyond that, if Gianforte didn't have the good and common sense to simply walk away from questions he didn't like, we cannot believe he's going to be able to make much more difficult, complex decisions when he's in Congress.[/quote]

That kind of response will only increase his #2020 stock. If Trump did on the back of being an arsehole for 70 years and not liked by anyone then it's looking good for Greg.

I'd like someone to explain to me why the fuck his souless daughter/wife and ken doll son in law are accompanying him on his jaunt around the world.

The first lady, or daughter, I'm not really sure which one is which has just commended Saudi Arabia for their women's rights. In return, she got $100m donated to her fund.
I seem to recall Daddy kicking off about donations from Saudi Arabia being made to the Clinton Foundation, but this is fine.
Jared is there to smile and look pretty.
Melania is there to swat her husband's hand away.

I thought her massive concern was getting him to read fewer tweets. I was thinking there was finally someone doing their job well.

Diplomatic Trump:
Reminds me of that kid at school that no-one likes, but they want to be the centre of attention for everything so just has to be first in line...for anything.

Maybe, just maybe, the real reason is connected with preparing for possible subpoenas and questioning when they get back to the states? US media has made no secret that Kushner could be a person of interest and that speculation has gone up a few notches whilst the first family is delivering peace and women's rights around the middle east and Europe. I bet they've lawyered up and have been working on their story telling abilities for the past week.

What an oaf. That Mussolini face is just cringeworthy. Every time he gets let out of his bubble he makes a complete cunt of himself and savages US credibility. Boasting about access to intelligence to Russians and that Philippine psychopath, being played like a fucking banjo by the Saudis, casual glib commentary on military action against sovereign nations via the medium of chocolate cake, misspelled immature rants on social media that highlight his profound ignorance, and folding on practically every single campaign promise made. How can this stand?

Have you seen handshake-gate (sorry Mike, but it works) between Trump and Macron?
It's almost as if Trump's entire professional life and success has been down to him squeezing other people's hands.
It seems other leaders have cottoned on to this now and are prepared for it.
In an instant, Trump is out of his comfort zone.

Look him nodding his head like he understands French.
He really could do with a dictionary, and maybe a thesaurus, for christmas as the word "tremendous" is wearing thin.
He just looks utterly clueless. "I've just returned from the Middle East" (said whilst in Israel), "Belgium is a beutiful city", etc etc.

I would suggest that in a large part it has. He has been able to intimidate opponents because of his family name and the aggressive use of lawyers.

No, I mean that he supposedly just skim-reads the documents given to him at the Whitehouse briefings for his own name, as why else would he have any interest in them?
It was concerning to her more as a person who lives on this planet than as someone who wants him to stay off Twitter.
And no, WIW, it does not work. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Yep, it's his financial clout that has given him the upper hand, but I bet he thinks his 'powerful' handshake is just as important.

Yes he doe, and I probably didn't make the point very well in that its all part of this 'I'm bigger, better, more powerful than you'. Nothing wrong with a firm handshake, but going too far is probably a sign of a bully.

I'm really trying not to get dragged in to the slap-stick charade of Trump's behaviour, there are more important things going on, but he just keeps on giving.
