Re: Team v Italy
A BP win and our defence was shocking.
Two tries from bad Italian mistakes, a penalty try from a good driving lineout and a
Moment of individual good play by Webb.
It’s Not that inspiring and I’m worried at what the French will do to our defence.
The last 20 was hard to watch. Bit like the Aussie game when we were well up and threw it away. Composure just wasn’t there

A confidence boosting win and we’re starting to see a few green shoots especially with the youngsters. Having said that the oldies also stood up. No whitewash or wooden spoon thank God.

Still thought it was in the balance until the scrum penalty even though there was a 12 point gap and about 4 and a half minutes left.Sandydragon wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 4:15 pmA BP win and our defence was shocking.

I’ll take the tries, even if they were a bit crap. Wales have chucked a lot of points away in the previous games.

All kinds of worries but it's a bonus point away win, when many of use were honestly fearing - or even expecting - we'd lose. It's worth a pint, at least.
France will tear us a complete set of new orifices but that was always true, and now doesn't matter quite as much as it did.

Yep, that scrum was the match IMO. No better than evens to hold them out for another if they'd scored there.Wallpaperman wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 4:19 pm

Certainly looking at France 27-3 up at halftime and seeming imperious against a hapless England, we’re in for a torrid time.Sourdust wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 4:21 pm All kinds of worries but it's a bonus point away win, when many of use were honestly fearing - or even expecting - we'd lose. I didn't expect England to get rogered.
This could be a record home defeat. That would be such a shame, wouldn't it?

Horrific. I don’t fancy is with any chance at all but for today, we win, England have got stuffed and I’ve bought a new puppy. Today is a good day. I’ll worry about the downsides tomorrow.Sourdust wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 5:46 pmI expected France to win with something to spare.normanski wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 5:44 pmCertainly looking at France 27-3 up at halftime and seeming imperious against a hapless England, we’re in for a torrid time.Sourdust wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 4:21 pm All kinds of worries but it's a bonus point away win, when many of use were honestly fearing - or even expecting - we'd lose. Is that England result an entertaining consolation or does it just make the prospect of France next week that much worse?
