Good lord. Very dull from Steward, he's got to realise he's not winning that in the air and just get ready to smash Adams when he lands.
In fairness, he's having to pelt across to try and make up the ground and Adams does jump quite late. He's had to go top speed to even get there and he's got no way of stopping when Adams changes position.
Puja
But as he's running over, he has to realise he's not getting there. Just charging on is poor decision making.

Christ, where do we stand if we lose this? What a shambles so far!
Where do we stand?
In the queue at the airport in France shortly after the group stage ends.

If he doesn't go full pelt though, then Adams catches it without jumping and walks over the line. We'd got far too narrow.

Can't see that's anything but a red. Four game ban minimum, you'd think, and no tackling course available this time.

Great decision to go for the corner. Rather play with 7 forwards than 6 backs. Good lineout drill, good maul, and that's bought enough time to get Genge back on the pitch.

Can’t believe you’re trying to defend it. He went full pelt and got there too early which means he could’ve not gone full pelt and got there at the correct time.

The fuck was that from Youngs? Quality carry off the scrum from Earl and then all momentum is killed by Youngs fannying around at the base.

It seems we're better with Ford and actual centres. Who knew? In other news.. Ben Youngs is ponderous at rucks in the 22 and the Pope admits 'catholic leanings'

Not that Shirley Bassey will be reading this but Cole, Youngs and Lawes as a starting 6 should be pensioned off and Farell can play for Saracens for the next month or 12

So, do we actually play better with 14 men?

Further searchings for silver linings, Farrell is out of the picture, probably until at least the 2nd if not the 3rd group game. That's a free run of no pressure for Ford and Smith, with actual centres outside them.
