Now that I remember it, I think we were hard done by when Aaron Smith held Foxy back just long enough in the 38th minute. If we'd done that to NZ it would have been a penalty at least, maybe even a yellow.Numbers wrote:I thought the ref was quite even handed, the one thing that irked me was his inability to notice the AB's blocking of our players from box kicks, it was so blatant surely one of officials should have picked it up.

Actually, having taken another look at the last 15 minutes, I can see that I'm being way too hard on Wales. Both teams were looking dangerous at the end - it was much closer than the 14-0 scoreline suggests.Son of Mathonwy wrote:A true reflection of the last 15 minutes would have been 80-0Eugene Wrayburn wrote:The score wasn't a true reflection of the first 65 minutes of the game. unfortunately it ewas a very true reflection of the last 15 minutes and it's an 80 minutes game. Having said that, Wales gave a good account of themselves. If they tried to attack by means other than sending Roberts up the middle more often before yesterday then you might have given an even better account of yourself with some practice at it..

Indeed, the media have said we were blown away in the last 15 minutes, the reality of it is although our defence started to look shaky we had plenty of attacking opportunities ourselves, if we had scored whilst being camped on their line and not conceded the resultant turnover try we would have been looking at a four point game.Son of Mathonwy wrote:Actually, having taken another look at the last 15 minutes, I can see that I'm being way too hard on Wales. Yep, how Scott Williams pushed three ABs back over their tryline defies explanation. We deserved a try for that! But sadly, no points came. Yeah there were several chances that went a-begging, at the end for both teams.Numbers wrote:Indeed, the media have said we were blown away in the last 15 minutes, the reality of it is although our defence started to look shaky we had plenty of attacking opportunities ourselves, if we had scored whilst being camped on their line and not conceded the resultant turnover try we would have been looking at a four point game.Son of Mathonwy wrote:Actually, having taken another look at the last 15 minutes, I can see that I'm being way too hard on Wales.
