They've already tried a couple of times, for U20s, and again this summer.

I believe Wales have actually asked him for age groups and he's turned them down. Just FYI.

I think this might be my new bandwagon. There's just something about those running lines that is very pleasing.

He may look back now and consider he could have been a Lion, okay a much derided Lion who clearly shouldn't have been there, but a Lion nonetheless

Well that's changed about rather quickly. Gold sounded very down about it

I'm not convinced that he's got the handling skills or subtlety to be a Premiership regular, but I'll gladly be proved wrong.

On his Welsh connection, I've done a bit of a google and it seems like it's more than just having been born there - his mum is actually Welsh (and apparently pushes him to play for Wales). On an unrelated note, anyone know if England A have any games booked this year?

If he wants exactly the same Lions experience that Cory Hill had, then he can buy the kit from the goodie bag for about £200 now.

That's genuine jamboree star Cory Hill to you, he was there in the trenches helping to make money for NZ damn it.

You can buy a Lions tackle bag for £200?!?!?!

Yeah - I think I read the same article.

I think Clark has got something about him. I hope he does what he says he's going to do and bides his time. I think he could make it with England, I just think it may be a longer term aim than an short-term one. Having said that, Wales are looking for Roberts MkII and if his mum is dripping Welsh poison in to his ear who knows?

Manu ruled out until December. You couldn't make it up.

FFS.

Has anyone contacted Max Clark? I hear the Taffs are after him.

He's got the handling Gats seems to favour in his midfield

He also likes to run into gaps rather than people.

lol....though there is more to their approach than originally stated above; he is keeping his options open, rather than turning them down flat.

I only saw the extended highlights but Brown looked like he had a shocker. He also looked like he'd lost a bit of pace which he can't really afford.

I wasn't sure whether to put this in here or the crap joke thread......Ryan Lamb is starting for the French champions, Stade Rochellais, against probably the biggest and most consistently successful club in Europe, Clermont Auvergne. Let that sink in for a while. Next time you feel you can't achieve something, no matter how impossible, think 'what would Ryan Lamb do'.

I never really got why Lamb was such a figure of fun. Had a wicked passing game when he first appeared didn't he? Yeah he was only 4'10" and couldn't tackle for shit but was he that totally awful?

And whatever happened to Shane Geraghty?

The lasting memory of Lamb at Saints was his constant long, looping miss passes being intercepted and an opposition running the length and scoring. Undoubtedly talented, but he had a hell of a lot of brain farts.

Not sure Solomona did himself a huge number of favours in front of Eddie for Sale tonight. Dropped two high balls, rarely saw the ball in attack, and did bugger all when he did. Did okay in defence, but wasn't particularly challenged. Not really a good game to try and impress with.
