Stuart Hogg will make his 100th appearance for Glasgow Warriors in Gregor Townsend's final game as head coach against Edinburgh Rugby at Scotstoun tomorrow.Stuart Hogg will make his 100th appearance for the club tomorrow evening

Hogg will become the youngest Warriors player to reach the milestone, returning to the side at full-back for the 1872 Cup clash.

He joins Lee Jones and Tommy Seymour in the back three, the latter was today named in the Guinness PRO12 Dream Team and reached his own century at the RDS last Friday.

Peter Horne and Alex Dunbar are the centre partnership with Ali Price and Finn Russell combine as half-backs.

Zander Fagerson makes his 50th appearance at tight-head and like Hogg will become the youngest player to achieve that feat.

Fraser Brown and Gordon Reid join him in the front-row, with Reid playing his last game for the club.

Captain Jonny Gray is joined by Scott Cummings in the second-row and Rob Harley, Chris Fusaro and Matt Fagerson pack down at the back of the scrum, the 18-year-old starting a game with his brother for the first time.

On the bench, Sila Puafisi and Sean Lamont are also both playing their last games for Glasgow on what promises to be an emotional day at Scotstoun.

Glasgow Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend said: “We're really looking forward to the atmosphere which is going to be created at a sold-out Scotstoun tomorrow evening.

“Zander Fagerson becomes the youngest player to play 50 games and Stuart Hogg is the youngest to reach 100 appearances, which is a fantastic achievement for them both.

“It will be Gordon Reid, Sila Puafisi and Sean Lamont's last involvement with the club and we’re looking to sending them off on a high. I’m sure all of the leavers will get a good reception from our supporters.

“It should be a cracking game as we're playing our fiercest rivals and there is a trophy at stake."

Aye, perhaps, but as we were saying there, these fixtures are normally fairly hefty anomalies and probably shouldn't be used as an indicator of talent.

Unless you are Greg, then it'll be used to write off any hope of getting late call ups to the Lions.

However, he isn't a player in his prime and past his best so whilst a good signing I would suggest he wouldn't crack a first choice XV ahead of Seymour or Sarto.

That's a fair point, I was just poorly highlighting he probably doesn't improve the 1st choice XV. Definitely improves depth though.

He looked raw enough at wing & FB is a much more technical position. Any idea how he was utilised as a league player?

Either way Glasgow must be running out of salary budget fast and unfortunately the recruits they need won't come cheap. Masaga is a good signing but you have to wonder if the money would have been better put towards an 8.

Malcolm would have got more gametime if he wasn't injured.

Hasn't been capped in two years. Italy have good backrow options, if he's playing well enough to get called up then he's likely more than worth his money here. Hasn't had much gametime at Sarries, not surprising given their options and reluctance to rotate the row. But he should be on good nick and cynical as fuck.

With Cruden there he may not be flogged nearly as much as an other French club. The rumours were that Finn saw this as his chance at a big money contract after his bad injury (allegedly didn't want to risk another one before cashing in) so can't blame him.

Aye, he (Palmer) did say in a tweet that the SRU have a fight to keep him. I would imagine He will be offered something from France that blows the Hogg money (£375k reportedly) out the water. So then the question will be how much realistically can the SRU/Glasgow afford to give him?

I would guess he will leave, where to is an interesting question.

France seems likely due to wages and few teams need a 10 in England that are sensible options?
Bath have Burns, maybe not wanting to spend a chunk on Russell
Bristol - Assuming promotion, Would Russell want to drop out of the big ECC?
Exeter Chiefs - Steenson wont go on forever, Slade can play centre - Would they pay the big money needed?
Gloucester - Possibly best avoided, Russell should be aiming higher.
Harlequins - Potential option.
Leicester Tigers - They have Ford.
Newcastle Falcons - Possibly best avoided, Russell should be aiming higher.
Northampton Saints - In bad need of a quality 10. Possible coaching changes looming end of next season.
Sale Sharks - Russell should be aiming higher
